HI all, as some of you may know, im form Lima Peru, bought my ek9 a couple of months ago, here is the thing, still dont know why, but the car changed like 3 or 4 owners in 6 months before it got to me, i took it to a mechanic workshop and verified that the cams where not CTR cams (measuring them), but were b16a cams, so i bought ITR '96 cams (because they were available here), now i took it to a mechanic workshop where most fine tunned honda users take theirs (supposedly the best in town) and he ran my car, the results, my car doesnt run like a CTR... ( he and i fell the car at low rpm {<4000rpm} too heavy) he told me maybe my headers (it came to me with JASMA certified b16a2 4-2-1 header) might be something to start changing, so im planning to buy a new header (still cant figure out which one 4-2-1 or 4-1 and which brand :: with 2.5" collector :: ) and mugen head gasket for starters, oh! and the piping (change it to 2.5" straight pipe)... so my question is: how can i recognize that all the pieces in my engine are ek9 CTR 2000? does crank, pistons, cams, valves, springs, etc has a printed code? (are there pics?) because im thinking into open the engine and check it completely, and of course start building the car i dream of.
I almos forget, what about LSD, how can i test and be sure theres the LSD? and the gearbox pinions are what they are supposed to be.
Ill apreciate very much your assistance.
Thanks in advance
Enrique
p.s: my ecu code is 37820-pct-J11, is that a ek9 CTR 2000 ecu? (ill open it to see the interior board too).
