OK, from what I understand, that thing is the same car as a Ford Contour SVT in the US (US Contour = Worldwide Mondeo, US SVT has 2.5L Yamaha V6 with 200HP, 170ft-lbs TQ, so I'm assuming it's the same thing). Looking at the specs I have in front of me, the EK9 would annihilate it. It doesn't have much torque since it's a still a relatively low displacement motor. Plus the 800+ lbs of extra weight practically cancel out the torque advantage. The EK9 also has ridiculously short gearing to help it out.
Back when I was still retarded and raced on the street like a dipshit, I raced a Pontiac G6 GTP which has a larger 3.6L motor with 252HP and 251TQ. That car weighs only 300lbs more than the Contour SVT/Mondeo ST24. My car is a USDM Civic CX (factory curb weight 2222lbs) with a USDM B16A2 engine swap with Intake, exhaust, and lightweight flywheel (factory 160HP, 111TQ, probably 165 HP with mods, Dyno'd 148 to the wheels). My Civic left that G6 like it was nothing. It was at a dead stop and I wasn't even intending to race this goober when I took off (I just started off a little quick cause I was late for work, he musta thought I was trying to race him). I didn't even wind out first, I started giving it major gas in 2nd.
Also, a 95 Maxima is similar to a Contour SVT specs wise. 100lbs lighter, 10 less HP but 30 more TQ than the Contour. Dusted one them too.
