hey thought i would start a progress thread on the civic now i have abit of free time and most of my parts have arrived!
bottom end is currently at machining as the pistons i have spec'd are oversized, then my friend is building it up for me.
over the next week we will be mocking up all the 3" stainless intercooler pipes ready for him to tig them up, have decided to get him to 'lobsterback' all the bends to give it that more 'worked on' look!

B18c bottom end fitted with B16b head
wisco 8.9:1 c/r forged pistons
manley I beam turbo tuff rods
ACL race bearings
ARP mains
ARP head studs
skunk 2 cams
skunk 2 pulleys
magnes intake manifold modified for a q45 fitting
nissan q45 throttle body 90mm
billet fuel rail
RC 1000cc injectors
Fuel lab pressure reg
Hydra EMS
exedy twin plate racing clutch + flywheel
cometic head gasket
kevlar cam belt
monoso sump
Garrett GT 35R
Tial 50mm BOV
Tial 38mm wastegate with 1.6 bar spring
300x600x76 alloy race intercooler

25 row oil cooler

Afew pics will upload more as progress continues have also 'tucked' quite alot of wires to neaten things up and will be gettin some fresh paint in the bay

cheers mate not really sure on power tbh will see when its done would be happy with 450-500bhp :)), will be used for abit of everything really road and track!

Cool build mate ! so what machine work is getting done to the block ?
 
im havin it .5mm overbore, re-decked, refinished all face and shot blasted

fitted my intercooler today and had to move my oil cooler as it hit my turbo

thats a good idea on mounting the intercooler.

where did you get the cooler from? and how much? if you don't mind you can PM me the details.
 
Sounds like your doing the right thing mate :nice: make sure the machine shop get you the right honing finish on those cylinder walls.

Never seen a Magnus IM! Looks tasty though, any reason you didn't go for an Edelbrock?
 
My god m8 that looks amazing have u got a budget on how much u spent on all this?

cheers mate well i stopped counting at £7000 not including the turbo or the ecu so would say about 10k so far an probaly about another 2k till its its done lol but i have pretty much bought the best of everything except the turbo manifold with was cheap but getting one made!
 
Nice work Dan, is the motor built ready? and who are you using for your tuning?
