I know your supposed to minus 5mph because they are always out.

Not true about minus 5mph, it could be more or even less. It depends on many factors so you cant say for sure unless you have an accurate way to measure the cars speed.

no you can reach 120mph in a ej9 I have done it mine, the speedo says 125, but I know your supposed to minus 5mph because they are always out.

I personally own a 1.4 16v ej9 which is standard and iv had that at 125 on the clocks and 119 on gps so i belive you, dont get me wrong it took its time getting there but it can do it. I also own a ek with a b16b in it and with goes off the clock no problems

Thats fast.. took a VERY long time to get there though I bet? Still, quick EK4. If you count for the rev counter inaccuracy § 500rpm and your on standard tyre sizes it puts you at 150mph

Think you need to check your thermostat out though dude

Its rough I know but my speed camera detector sensor thing is a little slower than what my speedo.

go on a down hill you get there a hell of a lot quicker =]

SiW yes changed thermostat . The car is really fast for its weight and for his hp almost stock. To get to 220+ is easy for the car with no problem and fast too after 240 is really hard!

Yeh this is correct, but with a custom ECU or a speedo convertor chip it 'delimits' them. Well actually the speedo convertors just keep the same 180 limit but it is then in mph!
