EK9 Steering Wheel Problem

Hi all,
I bought an EK9 steering wheel, but it came with no boss/spline to fit it. Is there any chance i could fit it using a boss kit with may a quick release? Or do i need the OEM spline to be able to fit it?
Thanks :drive:

How does an EK9 steering wheel not have a open spline hole behind it? It must not be the OEM EK9 wheel because that is impossible. The OEM wheels have a metal skeleton inside of them and the metal branches join together at a flat thick metal base in the center behind the air bag where the spline hole should be. So did you buy an OEM EK9 steering wheel or a AFTERMARKET steering wheel that was advertised for EK9? If it's an aftermarket steering wheel like Momo, NRG, Nardi, etc, then you'll need an aftermarket hub/boss kit that is properly made for the car so that the hub's spline hole will fit the steering column. But if the wheel you just got is OEM EK9 steering wheel which miraculously doesn't have the hole behind it, then you CANNOT attach an aftermarket hub/boss to it. It just simply doesn't fit because they are both female connectors.

Get some pictures to see what kind of steering wheel you have

The oem SRS wheel has a Honda boss held on with 4 6mm Alen keys.
dc2, ek9 and I think accord R and a late 90's Ferarri steering wheel can all be swapped if boss changed.
Normally if you buy a wheel it should come with oem boss. if not use your old one.

Okay so your right, i have a SRS ek9 wheel, however it does not have the boss on the back (As seen in photo). I can't use my old boss as my old wheel is an EJ9 wheel and the boss is built into the steering wheel so cannot be removed. Any chance you could link me to the kind of thing i need to buy to make it fittable? Thanks

I have an old crappy ek9 wheel but I was waiting to buy a dc2, ek9 or accord wheel so I could have one as a spare incase I need one.
Just out of interest what did you pay for the wheel?
If price is right I could sell my oem ek9 boss.

I payed £80 for it and the guy told me it was ready to fit... turns out it wasn't ready to fit. If you let me know a price on the boss i'd most likely be willing to pay. But down to you if your wanting to sell it or not, thanks :)
