Hi all,
I want to buy ek9 shocks and springs for my ek3 as a start since i'm low on cash. I'm interested in good condition, and if you got one for sale, i'm in Hungary, so it must be shipped to here. I heard dpd parcel service is cheap. But we can get back to this later on, after someone is interested in selling the parts. :)

I have shocks with 40mm springs good condition if your interested

I was looking at that susp., but honestly I don't really know. First of all I would like to use oem ek9 stuff, until I can afford a track suspension. And the other thing is, my ek3's engine is lighter than a b16, so it would drop more on my, and a plus 40mm could be too much. But that wouldn't be a problem if it is lower a bit, i just want full sets, in ek9 and later on in track kind suspensions, because some springs can modify handling so much, it can be too much sometimes since I drive a lot in mountain. But can you post a pic when it was in your car? I never said i'm not interested ;) just the main thing would be oem stuff

I know what you mean, the shocks are oem ek9 shocks came from my ek9. I actually dont have a picture of the car when it had the 40mm springs in! They were only in a few months and then i got coilovers. It wasnt to low and was drivable everwhere, i didnt have to avoid speed bumps ect. Honestly you would probly be better just saving and getting coilovers and not waist money on something your not going to stick with! But look there there if you change your mind of if you just want the shocks we could work something out! I just want them gone at this stage!

I see your point, and you are putting me into a debate with myself :D the stock ek3 suspension is too loose and soft and i can't wait to have something instead of it. But saving money for a coilover set is a good idea, but it needs time, and i'm impatient at the moment. Still i'm a bit afraid of a lowering spring. If I get a good offer, and shipment is still not too expensive, then i think i'll get a set of full oem, because thats way better than my stock, and i could wait till i get my money.

Once again, I'm looking for an ek9 set. It's not for me, but my mate.(same city) But this time it's serious if he can find an affordable set.

I looked into many setups before deciding which set of coilovers to buy.. but ended buying the stock ek9 dampers frm Honda dealer and fit Spoon's Progressive springs (20mm), then i upgraded the rear sway bar (antiroll bars) to ek9 ones and car handles very good and is confortable for a daily drive.. often track it and handling is better than a cheap set of coilovers.

Hope this helps you

The guy who needed a set of ek9 now has it. Next week it will be fitted. But I already know that ek9 arb is very good upgrade, one ek4 runs it in the city. Thanks for your experience :)
