the windscreen isnt specific to the ek9, its the same as every other ek hatch and coupe.Jesus atleast my box sections are okay-ish haha
Yeah I'll do a build post or something as it progresses. Cars nearly stripped now just need to get the type r windscreen out as carefully as I can
Tired car hahahaIsnt the ek9 windscreen bronze tint instead of the UK blue?
That ek3 is ridiculous. Is it this one on gumtree? If so the mileage goes backwards twice as well

No its a faint green tint, just like the UK glass is. no bronze glass at all on an EK9 (wasnt an option either)Isnt the ek9 windscreen bronze tint instead of the UK blue?

The windscreen claim has been made by many but isn't true, the part number is the same as every japanese EK from the EK2(1.3) to the ek9.Ah one the lads told me the ek9 got a lighter windscreen as well as losing all the sound deadening
How did they shed the rest of the weight then I wonder?
yes and no. they added more weight by adding extra metal to strengthen areas and some places you dont have the same impact protection bars etcAh right so did they change anything on the actual chassis to loose weight? cause they added bits to rear subframe for ARB to strengthen it etc and the type r brace obviously
Send on the brochures anyway I'd love to see them
I've got all the original brochures for the EK9s across all years i'll dig them out and scan the bit about weight reduction and stiffening as it tells you everything
