Today was a good day :)) we now have power!
Started this morning my fitting the battery.

I apologise for the poor lighting.

Battery wiring is now in with a cut out switch, also uprated the fuel pump wiring using the old pump wiring as the trigger for the relay. Just need to get an in-line fuse for the pump.

Injector wiring done!

We have fuel pressure! And no leaks!

I haven't set up the regulator yet, any advice on pressure would be good.:nice:

New fuel pump with the uprated wiring sounds like it's pumping very well! A lot noisier than stock.

Not sure what's up with Photobucket, seems to be showing links as well as the picture....

Interesting idea with the fuel pump wires, I like it,
I think you probably want to set fuel pressure around 2.5 bar as a starting point, could be wrong though

Thanks man :)) It seems to work pretty well, the wires are now rated at 17.5amps which is just over double the original wiring.
All connectors are soldered not crimped, with nice rubber insulators over the connectors.
I just need to put an inline fuse in, I didn't have one to hand today.
And thanks for the advice on the fuel pressure :nice:

Looking good dude! Reminds me of when i had my 9, always working on it every weekend improving it in one way or another! I miss that car :( Getting closer and closer now! As for fuel I would say 40-45psi at idle as a base, your tuner will do the rest. Good luck

You've done a pro job so far Sam. Very close to firing it up now!
As for fuel pressure I'd match the standard regular as that's going to be easiest for romain. You've got 1000cc injectors anyway so your not going to need the increased pressure.

Cheers man :)) nearly there now.
You should get another one ;)
Cool thanks for the fuel pressure info!

Thanks mate that means allot :)
Ok what does the standard regulator run at do you think?
I wish I had a hondata ECU, i'd let you tune her!
Can talk about that possiblity next week ;)

I'm not quite sure what the stock pressure is tbh. There's so much conflicting info online about it which doesn't help.

Yeh, lots of factors can raise or lower fuel pressure. I think I'll set it around 40psi for now.

Sorry for the stupid question but does fuel pressure reading change from engine turned off to idle to driving etc

Thanks for all the fuel pressure info guys :))
Yes @xxxencorexxx it will change. When engine is off it'lol drop down but hold some pressure, again when idling it'll go up to idle pressure. Not sure what the pressure will do exactly when driving but it should stay near what you set the pressure regulator at.

Great info mate, the reason i ask is my pressure gauge reads 54psi when engine is off, i have no idea what it reads on idle or driving. It was setup by my tuner.

Managed to get a few small jobs done today.
Reset the valve clearances as I did them wrong first time round

Put some oil in the engine, and filled up the gearbox oil.

Measured my aux belt length needed using a piece of wire, need to order a belt that fits the Fluidampr, the standard belt is too long.

Then next week I'm off to Germany
First time at the Ring, so excited!
Then when I get back it'lol be full steam ahead sorting the last bits to get her running.
