Description:

EK9 K20a race car: Having seen a car I want this is up for a serious sale, also listed on racecarsdirect & pistonheads.

ECU: Mapped on Kpro by RDT, 235bhp/160lbft (Dyno Dynamics readout), weight approx 970kg with a half tank of fuel.

Engine: Honda Integra DC5 K20A on approx 50k. Hybrid Racing Kswap harness. Solid Fabrications exhaust manifold, Solid Fabrications custom true 2.5" exhaust system (93db @6k static), Walbro 255 fuel pump, port matched RBC inlet manifold to 70mm throttle body, Karcepts 70mm intake, custom full width alloy radiator, Golden Eagle fuel rail, Aeromotive FPR. Recent CC stage 1 clutch. Hasport EKK2 75a billet engine mounts. TGM baffled sump.

Suspension: Recently fully refurbished Quantum coilovers, 18/12kg, 16 clicks. Eibach/SPC camber products. ARP Extended wheel studs all round. DSS 2.9 Kswap driveshafts. Integra DC2 fork/rack/LCA's. Password braces. Carbing rear tie bar.

Body: ACW Polycarb windows - sides only with drivers slider. Seibon carbon bonnet. Custom roof vent. Currently could do with new front bumper & wings, all solid but bumper cracked, wing dented, I am currently looking for replacements. The offside rear quarter has been slightly dented due to a car park exchange.

Interior/safety: Custom, approved full weld in cage. Buddy Club low seat frame, welded. Cobra Imola drivers seat with new Schroth 4 point harness to 2018. Lifeline extinguisher. Electrical cut off switch in/out, Cartek rain light/switch. Some surface rust in footwell, rear lights were sealed some time ago but need redoing, this will be rectified soon.

Brakes/wheels: 4 pot Brembo race kit, quick release pads, new 295mm discs (not yet fitted), selection of part worn race pads. 2 x 5mm spacers. ARP extended stud nuts with open end nuts (19mm). Currently has 4 just broken in tyres (2x A048 M, 2X V70A H).

Transmission: Integra DC5 gearbox, TGM baffled sump, oem 1-4 gears, Buddy Club close ratio 5/6 gears (basically making 5th a 4th and a half and 6th a 5th and a half), oem 4.78 final drive. (1-6 Gear Ratios: 3.266, 2.13, 1.517, 1.212, 1.028, 0.921), Kaaz 1.5 way LSD, maximum top speed 135mph on the clocks due to the gearing. K-Tuned billet shifter arm. DSS level 2.9 driveshafts.

The car still has the oem airbag steering wheel, rear glass, heater matrix, steering lock, handbrake assembly, with more cutting to panels and the removal of these items will shave the weight.
The car has been in a handful of races in the Vtec Challenge and CSCC Tin Tops, I am new to racing but to give an idea of the cars pace with me driving :

Donington National: 1:22.045 (placed 5th from 30 last race at Donny).
Snetterton 300 (wet): 2:19.070
Snetterton 200: 1:28.04
Brands Indy: 56.062
Castle Combe: 1:20.559
Pembrey: 1:08.315

Brief history/details: Owned by me since 2007 just after its import to UK. Kswap installed in 2009 by TGM in Fleet, the car has been race prepped & setup by Tom. Competed in 10 races. The car is 14 years old. A very capable car to race/trackday or minimal work to run on the road, complete with all receipts/service history.

More photos to be added later, I can email photos on request.

7500 ono, or part ex with another race/track car - Honda only. I have other alloys & parts which could be included in a deal.

Sooo tempting. If you decide to break ill take the whole engine conversion. I want this setup in my ek9! But mines a daily so dont want a track prepped ek9.

I completed 6 races in CSCC last year, really enjoyed it :D

I will not be breaking it, and I tried the whole swapping engines & parts a while back, sadly it did not work out. I have the option of trading on a Civic Cup car plus cash my way at the moment, but a straight sale is preferred as I have my eye on another race car :nice:

You missed me by about 3-4months.
I WOULD have had this off you! Already brought another ek9 now though.

What would be needed to get this road legal? I just dont want to trailer a car to the track!

Not much at all really, 'legally' it will need a cat/sports cat & some car tax, not sure if there is anything else?

All the door locks are in place & working, as is all the wiring if you wanted to replace the poly windows, I still have the glass rear quarters stored, all the lights/HID & alarm work, still has the heater, oem steering wheel with bag, holes still there for a passenger seat.

As said I have a car in mind to replace it, so am open to offers, pm for my number, lots of alloys (about 5 sets total), other K parts to throw in as I will not need them.

Sold to pdapaul, enjoy the car mate, look forward to hearing about it in Time Attack :drive:

What's next then chris? Another Honda?

Finally home, only taken 6hours....god I hate the M25!!

Lovely to meet you today Chris, car is awesome!!

Car is a testament to both Chris & Tom @TGM. Car hasn't been driven for ages, started with a jump pack and then driven 250 miles, stuck in 2.5 hours of traffic in baking heat...car never missed a beat!!!

I'd love to see you do that with a w reg Ford!!!

#powerofdreams
