Description: i bought these recently,looks like passenger side has had a new mirror. got told they were folding mirrors, ive showed it to a couple of people and they said they are weighty and are folding mirrors. where the plug goes, there is only two pins. so i presume they are folding mirrors. i can post more pictures ...

I looked at those on ebay and I think they are ek4

If you pop out one of the mirror lenses you can tell straight away if its a 9 or 4 set up you have.

what do i look for when i pop off the lens? the seller was positive when he sold them to me. he said he took them off an ek9. by looking at them i still cant tell,

if anyone wants the mirrors, just chuck me an offer,

I have some ek9 mirror internals that I planned on putting into my ek4 mirror shells but they are different. The glass fits differently to the electric adjuster plate from the 4 to the 9 because there is more in the 9.

Also you said there are 2 wires - the ek9 has electric adjustment and electric folding which I'd guess at needing more than 2 wires

Yes just look at connector,no way are they folding if they have two pins.

the ek4 mirrors has more pins than the normal wing mirror, have also compared the two and these gold mirrors are totally different to the standard ek4 mirrors so i could happily say these are folding mirrors.

EK4(2 doors) and EK9 mirror is the same....and mostly JDM sidemirror comes with automatic folding mirror(5 pins)...there is only EK9 Rs specs which comes with 3pin(no auto folding) or any budgeted(low end) civic EK in Japan..as for civic EF and EG's some you can get 7 pins extra 2 pins for the heater( but its quite rare)
