Do you guys agree? For me the best looking Type R is the 1999-2000 Spec EK9!!!! Whoo-hoo! :nice:

I think you will find everyone has a different opinion, there's a couple of threads on this & a poll somewhere.

Pre facelift all the way...........
 
they are both awsume in there own way. not one lookes better than the other. but if you take the vti it has to be 99-00
 
Both have an individual look that suit them down to the ground.
There is no such thing as a nicer looking EK9 hee hee!

nah i like teh purity of the 97 - 98 models teh lines are a bit cleaner
 
think the front of the pre is a touch nicer although at the end of the day they are both saweeeet !!

I prefer the pre-facelift. Probably cause I own one (EJ6). I just like it better. For one, I like the Square fogs a lot more. I see the JDM fogs on a 99-00 Civic all the time but the JDM Square fogs on the 96-98's a little more rare........ and I have some on mine :D. Also, I just find the shape of the front bumper nicer and I like the rounder headlights for some reason.
 
facelift only because i have one.

Only thing that bugs me on the pre facelift is the headlights! where the indicator is....its all pixel up makes it look old.
 
As far as body, the bumpers, grill, headlights, hood, fenders, and rear tail lights are different. Pictures of the different cars are all over this site.

As for me, 99-00 is it. Its just a more functional, cleaner design. Unlike subaru, honda usually makes their cars look better with facelifts.
 
Both are nice in their own ways, but the Prefacelift has that original EK9 look :nice: Looks great with a CF bonnet
