Thanks for reading guys, More updates to come soon..

Next stop >> Start work on smoothing the welds in on the quarters and possibly some more goodies for the car, After that comes the engine build ;)

To make those repairs last longer, get some Jotamastic 80 and paint it on the bare metal, then use the seam sealer on top of it followed by stonechip and paint. You can also thin Jota down and use it with a schultz gun on the inner sills as the plug welds will have burnt away any paint inside the sill, leaving bare metal.

Good work so far :clap::clap:

Thanka for the advice mate. Thats military paint isnt it? And reguarding the inner arches and sills etc dont worry they will be getting filled with some form of rust prevention :D

Great work, Im looking forward to more updates.

Thanks bud. The build has really taken off now things were a bit slow at first while i got things in order but should be regular updates and buys for this from now on :D

Just want to say thanks to anyone else who has commented. Just so as i dont leave anyone out :)

It's epoxy mastic designed for use below the waterline. :nice:

Is it not? just a shame he didnt find out about the rust before committing to buy the car..

Ive had the car 5 year mate :) When i first got the car the inner arches were fine, Just had tiny patches coming through on the outer skin. It was a combination of snow/using car at winter/road salt and sitting on my driveway that caused them to rust.

The level of work that went into fitting the quarters and repairing whats behind them was pretty extensive, I was quoted 500-600 at back street body shops just to fit the outer skins alone, And that was without paint work.

might aswell do it right one time than do it wrong alot
good work man get more updates

Right guys, Not really a massive update compared to last, But today i started work on filling over the welds on the quarters, Plus cleaning down my front arch (Working on one side of the car at a time don't want to get ahead of myself)

First off i sanded down the primer which i had put on when car come back from the body shop, Just so it wasnt bare metal, Then i applied my favorite thing in the world (NOT) Body filler lol.

As i couldn't sand it down straight away i worked on my front wheel arch, Removing the surface rust that was there with a wire wheel and then coated it with some trade spray to stop the surface rust coming back.

Im going to underseal them, And put a coat of black over the top once i have both wheel arches all cleaned down and rust free.

So this is why you've been quiet recently! Its about time I seen some pictures of it since you've started smoothing the quarters in, looking good!

I would also like to point out that hes doing this while helping me and another mate with our EG builds. Don't know how he keeps up the motivation working on 3 EG's
