EBC Yellow stuff pads

Actually I don't need ys or ds2500 track reviews, since I know both are good. I'm wondering about the cold bite. It's nearly winter now, and if I can't stop in cold, then I'm in **** :)
Kozy: They are selling ferodos for about 148-150 gbp, but some mechanics and/or people have a chance to buy things for 20/30/40% cheaper. So if I can have those ds2500, than I will.

Fair enough, fancy putting in an order for a second set? ;)

I guess with the mention of bedding in proceedures affecting performance, it is entirely possible that by YS weren't bedded in properly (bought them as part of the 282 conversion) whereas my DS were as I done them myself. So my opinion may be a little biased...

I can order one set for you if you want, but yet I don't know if they are available at that price. Plus I don't know, how much is the postage. (as far as I remember, last time I got an offer, it was 30gbp)

You can get a set of front and rear EBC redstuff pads from demon Tweeks on eBay for £129 delivered

Simon, you should know I can better that price :D
I can supply DS2500, Red and Yellowstuffs and most other compounds usually cheaper than you can get them (unless you're in the trade of course!)

Drop me a PM with what you want and I'll send over the up-to-date prices.

They're plainly making their money back on the postage!

Freakyparts, you have PM.

And by the way, Ferrodo keeps their prices up by not delivering goods to stores that sell it too cheap. Heard this from my mate who works at a parts store that sells Ferrodo.

They've also just put their prices up by 5% too :(
That's why I dont advertise the prices on my shop, as I might have 5 sets in stock and can do an even better price :D

I had dixels on my old and they were good I had ys on my Evo and they were shockingly bad one hard brake From 100> and they failed. Ds2500s were alot better but cost more. I'm gonna try the new orange stuff pads if I keep my Evo. :)

hey dude, quote me happy yo!

:D

Oh and one more thing! I was offered a set of kashiyama brake pads for testing (free, I can kill them anything, don't like it dispose, like it use it) But it was used on a vti (ek4) and mine is an ek3 (vti has 262 brakes, I have 259). Do the two cars have the same caliper or caliper size? I mean will those pads fit mine?

AFAIK the calipers are the same

I used the Yellowstuff pads on the Nordschleife this weekend and 3 laps in a row without rest/pause, on the track on a monday, not so many cars. Not the slightest hint of fading! So I think they're pretty good value for money!

That's good, since I can't find ferodos not just cheaper but even at normal price they are unavailable. So I think I'll stay with ys. And the calipers must be pretty much the same, cause ds2500 partnumber is the same for ek4 and ek3. :)

Have you contacted freakyparts about ferodos?

I did, but actually I forgot that one. Maybe I'll come back to this when I got the money, but I would be happier with ds2500s, because everyone says it's **** (because they can't bed in properly) so I could show that this is some serious **** :D and also, everyone with a brake upgrade has ys pads, which makes me feel "I need something better"

If you can get them, I'd go go for Hawk HP+ over DS2500s. Better pad in every single way and they cost a little less too :nice:
