Different CTR version/models?

I recently purchased a 98 Civic Type R. It has a Honda Primo decal with Auto Kartya on it. I assume it means a specific autokart (aka auto-X) version? It's a little different than most CTR's I have seen on here in that it doesn't have power windows or locks (has locks now due to alarm system),also doesn't have airbags. OR was there just an option to not have the power windows and such? Not sure if anything else is different, and haven't be able to find any information on the net so far. Anyone else have one like this?

I've attached a picture of the rear decal, ignore the CTR decals, they are being replaced soon as I get a chance to order new OEM ones lol.

My brother's car came without ABS, tinted windows, Type R interior, electric windows but with PS and air-con. It's not a special named model, it's just normal model where the buyer chose what options to keep and what to lose off of the production line from Honda.

I have a lightweight version no airbags, no ABS, thinner glass, no folding mirrors, manual windows it did come with aircon but that has been removed now. Get some pics of the engine plus dash.

Don't know if I have ABS or not, haven't had to find out lol. No folding mirrors either, has manual windows, PS and AC.

here are some more pictures.

It's fairly stock, only has a Password JDM intake, now a stainless steel kidd racing header, upgrade sparkplug wires, HKS windmaster exhaust, K-sport Pro coilovers, and a few other little things. Had a Hondata ecu, but it either wasn't tuned or was tuned poorly cause it was killing the gas mileage, and it runs better with the stock ecu back in.

Bay with old ebay (I think) header

That's about all the pic's I have, need to take more just haven't had a lot of time to work on it yet. It's going to take a good bit of work to get it back to where I think it needs to be. Hope to start working on it soon.

Looks like you have the same as me, you haven't got ABS either which is a bonus. Looks clean I've got the facelift version.

your ek9 looks very clean! :)

I have the same mate, no airbags, no aircon, no ABS, no power folding mirrors, no electric windows but I do have recaro interior, PS and tinted windows. The best version I say! :)

Wish i had that sticker you have, where do you think I could get it??

I have no clue where you could get one. I've searched everywhere I can think of on the internet and haven't been able to find out anything about it. I wanted to replace it when I replace the CTR badging. But looks like it'll either have to be custom made or left as is.

Let me try to sum it up AFAIK

Pre-facelift:
- Normal
- Lightweight; no airbags, no power windows/mirrors, no airbags (?)
- N1 race base model; EJ9 interior, steel wheels, lighter crank pulley, no powersteering, no ABS, no electric windows/mirrors

Facelift:
- Normal
- Rx; power folding mirrors, metal pedals, keyless entry (?)
- Lightweight; no airbags, no power windows/mirrors, no airbags (?)
- N1 race base model; EJ9 interior, steel wheels, lighter crank pulley, no powersteering, no ABS, no electric windows/mirrors

Not sure about all the options but AFAIK these are the available models.

You had the option to remove, ps, pw, and a/c (even recaros) at the dealer back then, this can be a custom version for the first owner, or a custom made one :D

What wheel nuts are those and are they made to fit OEM wheels?

I don't have a clue as to the maker of the wheel nuts. They don't have a name on them. They do have small holes near the outer lip for attaching safety wires to for track events. And they have not been modified so they are definately for OEM wheels.

I plan on spending the next couple of days cleaning and sorting out the car so I'll double check and see if there are any part numbers or such on them. Just hard working midnights lol.

im guessing this car is not register right ?
how are you gonna do it ? because here in texas its kind of impossible to do it and it cost a arm and a leg

It's titled and registered. I don't have a clue how it was originately done, and getting the title transfered from Mississippi to Alabama was a pain in the butt due to it still having a 10 digit vin (they asked a ton of questions in which I played dumb). But they let me do it lol. Getting it insured was a pain also.

Just wanted to update some pictures lol, Took off the HKS windmaster exhaust the other day. It's just too loud for my liking. Went and had a custom stock exhaust made with stock muffler, then painted it black with Hi-temp paint.

Cleaned it up today using an orbital with meguir's professional series glaze/wax/sealant. Came out really nice and crisp. Still going to need a respray in the near future, but I already knew that. And the wheels definately need to be refurbished. That will be the first thing I get to. Hope you like.

very rare to see a genuine ek9 in the states. not keen on the pea shooter exhaust however. thats bound to be restricting the car...
