denso plugs?

Just bought some ik22 iridium spark plugs is the gap preset on these or do they need gapping? Should it be 1.1? Thanks

Iridium plugs should be pregapped... 1.1 sounds spot on

just be careful, the electrode is so small on those things, it can be easy to damage...

They dont recommend gapping those plugs but it is always good to check....but like Blinx said be very careful...

Just wondering how do you gap a sparkplug?

Use a feeler gauge thin strips of metal that you add together to achive the right gap. Measurements printed on each strip, came in handy setting the points on my old mini.

ik22s should be left at the standard gap they are set at which is around 0.7/0.8 mm from memory they do not need gapped to 1.1mm - this is only for standard plugs

I've used them before plus they all do the same job. Going to fit them at the weekend bought some magnecor 8.5mm ignition cables, rear lower tie bar, magnetic sump plug plus hamp filters. Give the car a good service!

take special care when removing the magnecor leads next time you change your plugs, the ends can easily be pulled off the lead
