peeps I have on fb probably saw my waffling and many comments about what tyres to get but im still undecided...
I'm looking for tyres for everyday use, I've got RSRs that I wanna use just for track. The cars not going to see much winter so it doesnt have to be an amazing wet tyre, but it is important they're safe - i have my littlun in the car a lot :)
I have a lot of camber so i dont want something thats gunna wear dead quick..
I've narrowed it down to Bridgestone re002s or Rainsport 3s
anyone experience with either or have any recommendations? :)
thanks

On our EP we currently have Falken 914 pretty cheap and are performing well on the EP as our daily commuter.

i would use the RSR as the everyday tire and have something else for track.

I have uniroyal rainsport 3's on mine and can't fault them. Good in the dry and great in wet (I stay in Scotland so I need good wet tyres lol)

Assuming 195/50R15

Vote for the Bridgestones RE002's. Have them on my supercharged Mx5 and will have a set on my daily EG wheels as well. Found they cut through standing surprisingly well. Far more responsiveness/road feedback than the set of Michelin PE3 that were on. Plus plenty more bite/grip on the road especially in the wet.

Would almost go as far as to say they are the new Eagle F1 GSD3 in 15" for me, winter will see how they cope with colder temperatures as that was the GSD3's weakness.

Never been a fan of the jelly sidewalls on Uniroyal RS's

For the last 4 years I have had Michelin Exalto's on the nine and have been perfect for me. Great all round/Daily tyre and great in all conditions. The front tyres take ages to wear only on my 2nd pair of fronts! Really impressive considering the mileage I do and all the roundabouts i go round! Good price too at under £70 each.

Another option anyway.

Exactly what I'd do.
Rsr good tyre but there is better for track out there.
Also camber doesn't wear tyres(to an extent) the toe angle(tracking) does.
I run over -3 on the front of the new 9 and it has even wear.

Would definitely be using RE002 if was my car. Awesome tyre for the price.

Firestone SZ90 I found to be very good all round tyres on my previous EK, looked good too, unsure if they still make a 195/50/15 in them though.

Soft side wall on a set of daily wheels is a plus imho, makes for a more comfortable ride and it also makes shock absorber's lives a bit easier. +1 on the rainsports, I will be getting a set for my EK9 road wheels soon.

My friend had uniroyals on his MX-5 and he loved them. He couldn't fault them.

I've gone from toyo proxes 4 (hurendous in he wet) to RE002's and the difference is a slap in the face. Can't fault them one bit. Dry grip is good and wet grip is so much better then the proxes.

Also had RE002's on my mums dc2 and she loved them too. So that's two thumbs up for RE002's. :nice::nice:

I think this point has to be addressed. Your mum had a dc2?!

Could possibly be the coolest mum ever !!
