Decat Spoon N1..Is it very loud?


There not that bad I had a full spoon exhaust n1 and mid pipe tegiwa manifold and a decat, I found if u drive sensible its not that loud it's when u pick up the revs it gets really loud lol
 
I get use to mine but my neighbours on the other hand ..
 
Ive got a N1 and a decat and its annoying me a bit, need the baffle, it sounds great when it vtecs etc, but for everyday running around its too much for me.
 
The reduction of both the Spoon b-pipe and N1 Muffler back down to a 2.25" flange (ostensibly to maintain compatibility with OEM exhaust parts) always bugged me. So I got the 2.25" piping and flanges cut out and replaced with 60mm bits, giving the same diameter all the way through.

Along with freeing up the exhaust flow a bit, it also changed the tone (and seemingly the volume) of the noise into something much nicer. Definitely worth considering.
 
I've a 2.5" straight thru system, de-catted with a spoon N1 and its 114db. Extremely loud if your stood at the back of the vehicle.
 
i have a spoon n1 decated on my dc2 98 spec and i like it for everyday depends how much noise u like but its not too loud for me :) plus i also have a butterfly valve silencer for estates at night etc good buy go for it :)
 
Whats the butterfly valve silencer you have? Does it fit the N1? I know about the spoon baffle, but never heard or seen what you have before.
 
Friend on here has a full spoon n1. With cat in place sounds epic! Passes track inspection everytime so not THAT loud
 
I ran a Spoon N1 backbox with Tababe B pipe (no silencers) with Tegiwa decat pipe, it was rediculously loud and i've taken it off it didn't even sound nice... Now on the lookout for a Spoon B pipe
 
Sorry but a bit off topic but I have a genuine spoon n1 sitting here and don't know how much to advertise it for as unsure what they worth. It for a integra type r.
 
Thought I'd ask here rather than start a new thread as it's a pretty basic question.

I'm looking to find out what size the tail pipe is on a Spoon N1 as I'm getting a custom made system based on an N1 style.

I've been on the Spoon website and it say's the tip is 65mm as per this link, is that the info I require?

I basically want an exactly replica Spoon system including backbox so want the guy to make it the exact same in size so I can tell him what needs doing. What I'm referring to here is the backbox with rolled lip tip.
