Dc5 vs s2k what's your best one of the two and why?

Must be area wise, but I definately see more DC5s here, also go to a car show, guranteed to see more DC5s.

Not saying S2K is like gold dust but just what I have seen.

Makes sense,
Most are imported by enthusiasts who spend a fair amount.
The dc5 is there hobby, so they attend shows.

S2000 is seen by many as a performance bargain (which it is) so loads of people just grab one for fun without the real enthusiasm that dc5 owners have to spend so much on one.

If that makes any sense :))

^ defo by area really,
if you live down the street from an s2k your going to see it every day lol

DC5 is rare as hell around here.. i've seen a blue one and a few white ones and thats it.

S2000's literally loads of them round this way .. mostly silver with suits driving them.. Never seen one round here tuned or looking sweet. always Standard pretty much always AP2 also.

Dc5 ftw!!!

Your right about the evo and scooby,. I surprised an evo today lol

Silver dc5's are toooooo rare ;)

I have owned an s2000 and it was the best car I've had out of 40+ cars.... never had a dc5 but have owned a dc2 which was great but not as good as the s2k... and people say the dc2 is more of a drivers car than the dc5... this leads me to think the dc5 wont be a patch on the s2000..

I'll be buying another s2000 at end of this year I hope. :)

Anyone I know who's had a DC5 has sold it on relatively quickly again. For me its purely looks and i prefer the later model S2K's, with the right wheels and some extra lips it looks epic!

you aint wrong, my mate started out on a dc2, stripped that and bought a dc5, stripped that and bought a s2000, sold it to me then bought a dc2 shell and then k20 it

his words about the dc5 were in standard form the dc2 would match it round a track but the dc5 comes into its own when you spend the money on it, but he didnt like tracking such an expensive car incase the worst would happen

its gotta be the early s2000's for me, i feel as tho honda diluted the later ones

DC5 is a shopping car in a frock.

S2000 is a proper sports car.

S2K was built for a purpose.
RWD
Crossbone frame
Double wishbone all four corners
Front mid engine
50/50 weight distribution (even the spare wheel had a lot of thought into it for the location)
All the controls are aimed at the driver, nothing for the passenger, drivers car. No clock, stereo can be covered so all you have is bare essentials for driving.

It IS for tall people, if clarkson can fit into it, enjoy it and highly rate it what more do you need? I'm sure no car is built with people who are 7ft tall in mind. Honda DO do a lower seat rail for tall people, it's like £100 or something quid.

DC5, Honda didn't even put the money in for it to have front double wishbone like its predecessor. Nuff said. K20 great engine but a DC5 with breathing mods was wasted on the straight from mine even WITH my big gay wing on. Track DC5 with TGM fast road setup understeered like hell in the corners. Not impressed at all.

I have driven a DC5 hard and have driven and possessed my own S2K. If you asked me which car to live with for the rest of my life.... hard, as I'll want something with back seats and space, for a drivers car S2000 ALL day EVERY day!

Tough choice.
Haven't had either but I always had a weak spot for the S2K.

It looks real aggressive for a roadster and that long nose and the overall design of the car just shouts sports car. And of course it's rwd. I wouldn't mind having only two seats and a small booth either, most people here in Belgium don't use this car as a daily drive anyway and neither would I. Only thing I don't really like are the seats.

DC5 does have more potential for gaining power I believe, and it's also a very nice looking car with much nicer seats.

Honda should have made an S2000 Type-R, maybe even with a V6 engine.
Best of both worlds :)

POW that's what im talking about, probs an extra 100 dc5 imported snice then tho

^ surprising difference tbf,
I thought the s2k would be less rare due to being a uk car, but didn't think by that much.
Although dc5's numbers will continue to rise as more people can afford to import them and the s2k will continue to fall as they not made anymore and will be crashed a fair bit lol
Still not enough to even that kind of difference.

At least the dc5 wins at something lol

I knew I was correct, it's like saying there's more ek4s then ek9s. It's a import that is only for the jdm market, so it's going to be less rare then a ukdm model. Why do think the prices on s2k is so low compared to the eqivelent model millage ect dc5.
