Does anybody know i an itr airbox will go directly into an ek4 with out modifications to make it fit.

little bit fiddly, but it can be done. The air flow capacity, i believe and design is better on the dc2 and the ek9. The dc2 airbox looks very similar to the mugen intake.

pretty much goes right on but very tight fit, you really need to make up couple brackets to support airbox but i just bought some bendy metal strips from b&q and used them with some zip ties, im gonna get some proper bracketsmade up in future though

thanks man i think its made a nice difference.

It should! Since its getting cold air under the fender. EK intakes suck inside the engine bay in the corner. Also the Filter area on DC2's pod filter is bigger than EK's panel filter by about 50%

ok, friend has machined full set of brackets for me now from aluminium, just gotta pick them up and fit them now

You can just buy some galvinsed thin steel plates and cut them out to fit and drill. Very easy and Cheap!!

Once done, paint them black and re-install.

here are the brackets i made for me and iceman! icemans have countersunk holes on the top bracket as mine was the prototype one and i havnt got round to finishing mine off yet!

top bracket

CNC'd top plate with intergrated washer on the underside to raise if off the angled chassis/bulkhead,acetal piller to make it look simialiar or OEM to the ITR airbox

bottom bracket

simple bracket to offset it further away from the wing and to stop it fouling on the bottle just in front of it!

this one holds the box steady nearest to the engine no pics as it right under the rad pipe!

Thanks 'vtipang'! Do you have a picture of the complete engine bay? I want to see how tight of a fit it is ...
