Crashed my EK4 really bad yesterday, nearly died and nerly killed my friend.

True that, i think either that or having some coilovers, the ride height on standard ek4's is far too high. But that is likely the worst excuse ever.

You said you only had the car 3 weeks, had you checked the whole car over? did you know everything was tip top and in order?

The EK4 is a very capable car in stock form for a spirited b-road blast, you cant blame the suspension for driver error. Not to mention you were still new to the car.

Truth be told you shouldnt have put anyones life at risk, it wasnt just your mates life - you could have killed someone in another car or a pedestrian.

I like many on here cant proclaim to be innocent on public roads i was very guilty of some b-road blasts in my old car but not once did i ever drive on the limit of the car or my own ability on public roads!

Sure has taught me a lesson. I feel pretty terrible about the whole thing.

Yuck

Ouch! That looks like you did a proper job.

Good to hear that you made it out in one piece though :)

So gutted, its going to take me ages to get this sorted out! And my insurance will be a joke from now on. lol

Driving days are officially over for the next few years.

just had a look at the pictures mate, yous are more than lucky to get out of this alive!

glad you were both ok but let this be a lesson to everyone, theres a time and a place for having fun with your cars and its a race track !
Stay safe...

I'd say if u hit that pole a little more nearer the passenger door ur m8 wouldn't have been Here to tell the tail. Glad ur both ok and remember anyone can drive quick round b roads but as yourself this is it really worth the risk. Are the police doing anythink to you e.g points dangerous driving

Good to hear that you live to tell the tale. Hopefully you learn your mistake.

is this the car that had like only 30000 miles on it ??good your ok

Yeah was the 30,000 miles one.. immaculate - adds to the guttedness. Please just let me be an example.

No offence gav but not many people go on race tracks. Also mate don't know why your posting this sort of thing on a forum, your just gonna have people looking down on your misfortune and making you feel worse.
I personaly don't mind how you drive, and im sure there was not a lesson to learn as the brain knows its in trouble when you drive fast. You were just unlucky.
Sure im gonna get grief for my opinion, anyway main thing is you were not hurt. Its just a bit metal at the end of the day.

smashing anything thats only done 30k is gonna be gutting. sorry for you man glad your ok. Was this your first bad smash? Everybody has to get it out their system sooner or later.
