Its only a clip on about 10 cm, it makes no difference in sound or performance . its just for looks. i will be upgrading to a spoon n1 backbox or mugen twinloop after exams hopefully. (nice car by the way:naughty:)

thanks for the comments, the car has looked like this for the last year! so my plans for the future are to get it undersealed and resprayed,spoon N1 backbox, tint the 3 back windows and get a jdm password tow and a set of rotaslipstreams (black) or enkei rpf1's (silver) .I think i will be with the car for along time as theres a "R" plate coming in now after the "L" plate for 2 years so insurance will rise too so il be waiting along time to get a ek9.the R plates means double the points and so on .. :mad: , is this only in Ireland ? any suggestions on mods welcome :)

One mod that will get you nice gains is and upgraded intake manifold. I've a D16Y8 side mount manifold in the shed now waiting to into mine once I get the few bits needed for the setup so hoping for good things! Haven't heard a bad word about it at all and should sharpen up the response a bit. Something to think about anyways :) That and general breathing mods. dodo-upgrades will give you a nice few ideas tuning wise

I agree will see a slight gain in top-end performance and response, it's possible to take it from 90bhp - 110 bhp standard with this mod, some people have made 118bhp from this set-up also.

Ej Eire let me know how you get on with yours, I myself plan to do this very soon also, going with an edelbrock intake mani, and possibly a Blox side mounted TB. Some aspects of the installation can be a right pain I've heard :nerv:

@M.1: Will do man. Any update I make I'll throw in here --> http://www.ek9.org/forum/members-rides/30307-ej9-civic.html I'd imagine you'd get better gains off the Edelbrock IM, it seems that the "big" hp D14s are running aftermarket IMs. I'd expect to get near 105hp or so and maybe push towards 110hp with some better breathing mods. Think I'm just going to pick up a cheapo short ram for the moment and when the funds are there invest in a better setup. Would ideally like to try aim for 130+ next summer and maybe boost it, just to be a bit different and for the novelty of it. Have seen one on 200hp but the spec list was as long as my arm :)

Well to be honest i don't think you would notice a big difference in a ej9,Im just focusing on looks at the moment,Only mods performance wise would be backbox and struts, will be watching your thread though,It might change my mind :p
 
you have that lookin well. cleanest engine bay ive seen on an EJ
