I know it's mainly an EK9 forum but thought I'd post up my build thread on my Jordan :woot:
For those who have seen it or might have it previously looked like that...

I got it as a px for my Corsa C (bought to lower insurance). I saw it went :angry2: then thought I'd easily get it looking good with some work.
The spec of it when bought was;
Hideous 18" rota lightweight wheels (removed in 2 days!)
Supposed skimmed head and port/polished inlet (no proof though) and 200bhp:blabla: Lot of **** if you ask me haha.
4-2-1 manifold of some sort
Full stainless magnaflow system
Disgusting carbon fibre effect rear lights (which didn't function properly had red reverse light ) Again removed in a day replaced with oem ej lights (preface) from scrappie for fiver
Black boot lid (sprayed) Now repsrayed y56 again
Carbon fibre mirrors (now oem)
Carbon fibre spoon rep spoiler (sold for standard)
Carbon fibre bonnet (swapped for standard)
Black roof (sprayed) :|
Lowered 40mm on springs
Vtec controller (removed very quickly as not fond of what I hear about them)
Some form of adjustable FPR (again removed)

I'll now just let pics do the talking to show its transformation. Some pics with 14" corolla wheels and now some sw9's for tegiwa along with some other goodies.

Then this happened at my college coming out the car park :((

At the weekend I concentrated on having the air con removed and then stripping out the interior to tidy it up here's the results

The previous owner had a massive sub and speaker set up in the boot and decided to cover the ENTIRE insides with this horrible S**T!

Me and a mate got half of it out yesterday and took hours its horrible. Removing the oem soundproofing was a doddle compared to this!

Then as it stands at the moment

Fitted the rear seats again as it's ridiculously cold now and the noise of my knackered rear shocks makes me cry :((
Also have a new recaro fitted as of today (no pics yet and yes just one lol)

Plans so far are,
General clean up of chassis (buff and waxoyl)
Decent dampers and spring set up or coilovers
Front lip (as was missing when I got it)
Full respray and sort rust bubbles on arches.
Several new sets of wheels lol
New strut brace (front and fit a rear/xbrace)
Tidy up engine bay tuck/paint bits etc. (not awfully fond of the purple after I painted it lol)
Sort the rest of suspension components i.e LCA's, front and rear camber adjusters (unsure of what ones :/ )
Have an ek9 front brake set up to overhaul and fit (once I recieve the other caliper from Sid-ek9 :please: )
New gearbox (whines and grinds a bit) one with an LSD :D
New exhaust system as is too droney for my liking (spoon back box and custom centre)
Replace stem seals (high mileage and a little smokey so could do with a change)
Inspect the rest of the engine for anything I should be aware of
Poly mounts and new torque mounts

Main plan after all cleaned up and running great is either going all motor with a Skunk2 cam and valvetrain set up. Or if I save enough go down to racetech and have it running boost. Still playing with the two ideas in my head as I was totally for running turbo but after reading up think I might enjoy more revs and straight n/a power :drive:
That is the ambition anyway :woot:
Will keep updated when I start more work!

looks like your going in the right direction, altho im not to keen on the wheels

Great stuff mate, looks miles better than when you bought it, keep it up :nice:

I'm not to keen on the wheels either but starting to look good :nice:

Looks far better now than when you first got it ! Not keen on the purple/yellow in the engine bay though.

Nice work :) The purple rocker looks better than the paint stripped look before :) If your not too keen on the purple i always think the black rocker looks great with the yellow. Keep up the good work!

Thanks folks :D . I got the wheels to go for something basic looking but the colour wasn't what I expected ( I thought anthracite was a lot darker :/ ) Looking at new wheels for the new year will probs keep the sw9s for winter.
I'm planning on respraying the rocker yellow with polished writing, kevlar plug cover and buying a password jdm bronze strut. Then a few more kevlar bits and keep it clean looking and not as 'loud' as it is now. Need to sort out cleaning up the undercarriage before I go down any serious exterior/styling as function>form in my opinion (but it still has to look good!)

good turnaround there, those new rims look fine, was thinking of those as a winter rim myself :secret:

and yes that Dynamat crap is a bitch to remove as i found out, mate works in car audio and said heatgun is way to go to remove it easier, either way its a bugger!

well done mate, looks miles better than before! good so see someone brining a bad jordan back to life. 18" wheels, thats a joke
good luck with the plans! :nice:

Yeah they're ok fairly light, the lacquer/clear coat started to peel after a month or so, not impressed with that but oh well they do the job.
The dynamat took me around 3-4 days to remove and there is still a sticky residue I need to remove. I did try a heatgun but that turned it really really sticky like tar/chewing gun and ruined a few sets of pliers lol. I developed a technique that worked though lol.
:win:

Thanks! :nice: The wheels were shocking, had them off in less than a week even though I was skint haha

Looks way better before you got it mate

Thanks appreciated :nice:

Yea I found that dynamat came off easier in colder weather along with the sound deadening.
If you need solution to get rid off residue pm me and I send you it if you just cover postage bud.

The yellow rocker cover with the kevlar will look nice on the jordan :)

Great progress! Thanks for putting in the hard work to save it :nice:

Keep up the good work :run:

Cant believe how much Dynamat was in that thing!!!! :O

Will be more economical now! As said Thanks for going to the effort to save another Jordan, They are getting more and more rare as time goes on!

Thanks again peeps! :)
Makes me a little sick to think somebody would have thought it was ok to do that to a LIMITED EDITION car :/ Some folk eh?
I'll fire you a Pm eternal blue 2000! Stuff is a nightmare tried thinners and it just spread it around leaving a thin coat of it on the metal :/
Anybody know anywhere I can get my hands on a sports cat? Or even a decent full system with one included. (fancy on of NeilVtec's N1 reps for the back box :) ) but don't know about a b pipe and cat? (Before anyone says don't fancy running decat again it was unbearably loud with this system and gott pulled over a few times :(
