central locking problem

hi guys,
i have got a problem with my 9 locking me out of the drivers side door, it doesn't do it all the time but usually atleast once a day. it will lock but wont unlock fully on the drivers side. wonderd if anyone had any info on this? cheers tom

I have the same problem but on the passanger side, i would like to know how to fix this problem too.

its a pain is it. expecially wen its the drivers side, i get some dodgy looks when am climing thru the passenger side lol

This happened to me last year about this time think it's the cold weather!

THis happened to me yesterday. Driver door wouldn't open enough so had to use the key Went out this morning screwdriver in hand and it started working before i could get near it

yeah it does seem too be the cold weather that makes it worse but if any1 has any info on how to fix it, this wud be much appriciated.
btw mine 9 does not have keyless entry fitted so i am stumped to whats the problem. andygoole you said you had too use the key so i suspect u have keyless entry fitted and from what i have seen its usually the slave solonoid that causes this problem. i have just bought 1 if any 1 is intrested there not expensive.

Take off the door card and inspect the lock linkage, it may be a little loose. Spray the linkage and lock with wd40, that should free it up.

you beat me to it. I have the same issue, also know the solution, just don't have the time

cheers, i did do this the other day and it seems to have worked it still does it occasionally but alot better than before.
