Alright people, i've been offered a 1996 Toyota Celica GT4 in part ex for my EK9 and just wondering if anybody has any information on them or if anybody has ever owned one.

I'm quite interested as i wouldn't mind a bit of boost but want to know a little more about them and if there reliable.

Toyota : mint celica gt4!!

Its only been in the country for 3 weeks aswell.

Cheers :nice:

very expensive to run, quick cars but if they go wrong, it'll cost a hell of alot of money. very heavy, so quite wollowy around the bends etc, lots of grip but you certainly feel the weight. my s14 at 280bhp was quicker than my friends gt4 at dyno'd 325bhp, which i assume is due to the weight and/or transmission loss. if the clutch goes, it';s a massive job, £500-800, depending where it gets done, and the superstrut system is an absolute nightmare to sort if it goes wrong, the sheer number of ball joints makes it horrific to sort if you need to sort anything.

i had one for a few months but it wasnt particularly impressive so sold it on (it was a white st205 gt-four wrc).

i think the same chap offered me the car also, wasn't really my cup of tea as i know how akward they are

I had one and loved it! It was a totally awsome car and i loved evey minute of it and its a very generous PX offer considering what car you are getting in PX.

Have got to ask yourself why he wants rid of it after only having it 3 weeks?

Its no go anyhow, he offered me the GT4 plus £500 haha

I'm looking for around £7000 for mine and he's selling the celica for £4250

Thanks for the replies guys, its appreciated :nice:

What you selling corral?

Didnt think you had another EK9 :secret:

Edit : Just read your sig. How much you selling it for? Think i'm going to sell mine and buy a prefacelift for around 4-5k
