car wont start

there a little out but do you think its enough to stop it starting or do you think its another problem.

Does your meter allow for resistance of leads? if not measure leads first so you can subtract that from total reading. I think it's blown. Have you a friends car you can try dizzy off to see will it fire up?

I say it does leads are short enough my readings a very close tho. I also tested it in a warm room i know this can effect the readings

yea my mate has an B18
so i will just need to switch over the coils?
cheer for you assistance man.

Yeah try swapping the coils, you'll be able to remove the coil without taking dizzy off head. Let me know how you get on.

could my dizzy be ****ed or do they break. or is it just the coils in them that go as there is **** all to them. its one part of the car that i not farmilar with.
cheers man

It's normally the ignition control module or coil to go in the distributors

was at it again today. test the coil again coil reading are same so only one a tiny bit out. I have power to the coil and the ignition control module. I.m stumped now.

can I remove the ignition control module handy enough. I was afraid to take off the dizzy if case it fooks up the timing? ? ?

I'd try another coil or dizzy.

Put a mark on dizzy housing where it bolts up to head so you'll know where to position it when you put it back on. If your using a different dizzy you will have to set the ignition timing anyway using a timing light.

if I got one of my mate just to see would it start. would the timing need to be set b4 I turn the key. or would it Fook up the engine. cause I've got noting to set the timing. this is the first time any of my civics have given me any crap.

Just set the dizzy close to position of where your current dizzy is, it shouldn't be off by much and won't cause any trouble anyway so is fine to test.

hope to it has noting to do wit my ecu as I know a few of the wires to the dizzy come from the ecu.

do you know where I would get a picture of the fuse locations for my car as the one inside of my is all in jap. I my old ek9 there was a thing on it wit it in English.

ECU, not likely. Coil yes.

coil tested out ok with the meter. my mate has his own garage. and works a lot hp jap yokes will c 2m does he have any parts can borrow to check. worst part is car is in a shed 60 miles from where I live and only down at it the weekends.
