Can you even supercharge an EK9 :S

Hi, can you supercharge an ek9.. be it a 1.6 stroked or 1.6 standard? i have never seen a supercharged ek9?
 
:shocked: damn it jamie relax on the posting bro:shocked: , thats like your 8th topic, if you search a little youll see that im turbocharging mine, and yes you can supercharege it as well, comptech/vortech/jackson racing all make kits.
 
lol comon its 7am here i have not slept at all in about 15 hours.. i still cant sleep lol i need postage :| also i only posted becase i cant find anything about superchargers.. i know you can put turbo chargers on it.. :)

There is no vtec feeling(which is the trademark of the B16B engine) because of the extreme torque :(. So just imangine 1.6 L engine producing massive torque with linear power......

noway! my vtec pops LOUD now :) and with the low compression turbo setup i have not its not linear either, just feels like a super powerful b16b :nice: but if you turbo a b16b on stock compression it does get a bit linear.
 
i agree with you blinx thats exactly how i'd say it was , just felt super powerful!just the felt same but had loads of power.

Centrifugal type would maintain more of the VTEC rush and keep it feeling original. Thats my experience on another car I had.

but believe it or not they actually make less low end tq than a turbo, and less top end than a turbo... so they pretty much make less power overall and cost about twice as much, i believe vortech wants like 5000+ for there kit with aftercooler...

Yes that is true, coz they only build boost acording to rpm. but for some cars, it is easier to install a CF type blower than a turbo due to lack of space. Log type headers is an option to make the install for tight space, but sucks.
 
thats true, i know they have positive aspects too, i just dont like them...
 
i'm thinkin of getting a supercharger 4 my 9. I want a cerafugle one dose n e one no wich ones are best or that r made 4 the b16b

vortech makes one for the 99-00 usdm civic SI which should fit your car, it cost about 5,000 usd.
