Curious about the exhaust systems.
i have read on several occasions on the itr forum, civiclife forum on these sytems failing in build quality , baffles, fitment etc, and was wondering whether someone could answer a few questions. Is it the old models that had these problems? or is it still the current models that fail?
Dont get me wrong, im not saying all systems, just more people have prblems with these exhaust systems than any other.
Cheers

If you can get the last of the original Buddyclub systems (from Japan), then they are good. Those are very rare nowadays though and probably only available 2nd hand.

The new Buddyclub systems (from US) are the ones that had the issues, although I think it only applied to some of the later batch. The early batches were ok.

Thanks for the reply. am curious as i am interested, but dont want something that will break once fitted

tbh mate, i love the twinloop, but hate the b pipe silencer due to its size.
tempted to cut it and weld a piece of pipe instead

i know what you mean, is abit quiet, but then again sounds something else in VTEC, just buy a Spoon n1 if you want it louder :)

Sorry to thead jack guys, but are any of you running the twinloop with a decat or resonated decat? Just curious to know how loud they are with a decat compared to when you've got a cat in place.

Frolic's Buddyclub was only on his car for about 1 year and the hanger fell off or did it put a hole in his B pipe? I cant remember.
Anyway, yeah he got that brand new aswell..

oh well...
kaks: trying to stay away from the spoon if possible as i have had a few of those systems already

I ran the twinloop on my DC2 with a decat temporarily before my hiflow was modified. Sounded terrible:(( Id only ever recommend fitting the system to an OEM Cat or hiflow

With the hiflow back in place the lovely sweet note returned:bow:

Whats the issue with the B-pipe silencer babyface? I know they tend to catch on speed-bumps & the like, but they ALL do that....Small price to pay for the lovely noise if you ask me....

Edit: I have managed to find a couple of vids to compare the note of the Twinloop with a DECAT & with a Hiflow Cat. See what you think....apologies for the quality, but you get the idea, even if on a DC2

i personally love the mugen note, as i still believe its the best day to day exhaust system, however, the b pipe is huge in comparison with everything else i have had in the past and it just catches now and again on silly bumps.
Was just looking for alternatives to see what else was on the market.

lol... its not really that much of an issue really.... i had a good drive today, and i love the sweet note that comes form the mugen ;)... so it must be the fact of the b pipe scraping now and again...
thanks for all the opinions guys :)
Have made my mind to just keep the mugen.

Alright babyface, iv got a buddy club pro spec on my 9 and i love it! it sound awesome:nice:it got really deep sound to it and it quite loud, but it depends how you drive it, if you potter along at about 3000-4000rpm and only touching the throttle you wont really hear it, but when you put your food down and drive the car hard it loud like, especially in vtec they will hear you coming at least 1 1/2 miles+ but it not as loud as some of the systems iv heard Apex etc etc!

Iv still got the original b pipe on the 9 so i had 2 chop the small silencer out and weld a stainless pipe in and change the angle of the of the flange 2 meet up with the buddy club! all because the bloke who i brought the exhaust off wouldn't sell me the b pipe:mad:

Quality really good on my one, it all tig welded and looks awesome, and it still sounds as good as when iv fitted it a few months back:nice:

Chris it sounds awesome with decat:D but yea, know what you mean, you can hear the Twinloop noise clearer with a sports cat.

Thanks for the reply on the buddyclub Cardi, but am finalised on the twinloop.
