Buddyclub Front Camber Arms

I've replaced the bolts and will keep an eye on them. Copper greased them up to when I fitted them.

Fair enough and maybe I shouldn't be using them on the road ( as per your product says ).

But just to put it out there, there's must be a lot of neglect going on as quite a few people have had the same problem.

I did email your contact email on the buddyclub site with no reply what so ever which I was a bit miffed about ..

Anyway thanks for a response.

I dont pick those emails up. Best to Pm on here.

There are plenty of people that haven't had the problem too, as BuddyClubctr has said, just torque them up to the specified level on the instructions and keep them protected with some grease

Yeh i completely agree ! and fair enough if they haven't, but the fact a handful have...

well ive said my bit and yes i understand that, but i was expecting some sort of reply !

anyway, will do as youve said above. sure they'll be fine

Anychance you can post up the torque's for them or a picture of the leaflet that comes with them .. just out of interest.

The main reason for them snapping is neglect. All you have to do is spray them with copper grease or similar product and they are fine.

We put these on all the civic cup cars and not had one issue. I'm sure you guys dont abuse the cars like the drivers do.

Any problems please PM me

Personally i would uprate the bolts.

I grease my stuff as a matter of practice when installing anyparts, the camber arms where adjusted at TGM from new and not tight, they still snapped.

No bolt should snap this easily, uprate them to 12.9 it adds no extra cost but a massive amount of "piece of mine".

I'll try and dig the boxes out to find the leaflets!

It aint the best photo but it states 25-28nm.

Also we have some spare bolts. If anyone needs some I will replace them

the torque value is pointless if the bolts supplied are made of butter.

did you ever replace them with high tenile ones? I didnt have any issues after i swapped mine out?

no sir. i may do this in the future.

but standard arms is a quick fix and gives me alot more confidence on the road. always had a little bit of worry in the back of my head with the camber arms, going on long distance drives etc. but now i'll have no worries.

still pretty appalling they take NO blame after the amount of threads around the internet with people having the same problems.
and the fact i never received a personal email back.

a product they really should sort out.

My car is basically the same height but I have on the Skunk 2. Has some degree of camber and handles well. Especially if you are doing track days i am sure some camber will benefit

they were meant for track use, not salty shitty uk roads. a few £ to buy some proper bolts and they'd be sweet! :nice:

yeh and they've always got that arguement. "for track use , not road use" merrr.

when i get sick of the tyre wear i may invest in some :D

See how mines has one snapped bolt.
Can i still adjust it as i havent replaced with high tensile bolts yet??

^^Lol

You would think with all the issues people are having, they would just upgrade their product to a higher grade bolt.

Racing use my ass, hitting a curb at speed is like hitting ten potholes in a row.

iirc they have resolved the bolt issue in their newer arms.

hitting a kerb at speed would be pretty terminal i would have thought regardless of camber arms?

^^ Doesn't look like they have, reading the above posts.

Depends on the circuit and the turn, sometimes its essential if you want to run a nice line.

A little video of Tom Coronel driving a mates Dc2 around Zandvoort to illustrate what I meant. (ek9.org track day there might be something to consider :p)

Intrax dag Zandvoort Tom Coronel aan het stuur. HD - YouTube

What I was trying to say was if they don't hold up on street I would not run them on track.

Anybody tried the J's racing items?
