Is there a difference between RE01 and RE010 ?
Is there much difference between the normal and RE01R?

Cheers

well they are in a different class to start off with re01r being the best out of the three.
I think re010 is an old tyre, factory fitted to type Rs at the time. Ive used re01r my self and is by far the best Ive ever used. currently using falken rt215 which are ok, but the re01rs simply the best. god knows how good the re11(replacement of re01r) are.

When i go to Bridgestone japan, they don't even list Re-010.
Just RE-01 and 01R.
I'm needing new tyres and finding it hard to get any decent rubber at the moment, so thought i'd put the effort in to find the BS Potenzas.

Another quick question.
The RE-01R, is this tire good for the road?
I've read that you shouldn't drive with this tire through snow or freezing conditions.

RE-O1R is good for road and racing but NOT in wet or winter, I've drove RE01-R on wet, and there was no grip at all :nono:

BS RE 01R are such a good tyre and they grip really well in the dry when they have warmed up! Not really pushed them hard enough in the wet.

I'm 100% going to get another set when my tyres are due.

RE01-R + water = aqua planing

I read a review and the guy said the re-01r handled brilliantly in the rain, even through standing water.

Ive never had a problem in the wet with re01r in fact they gripped better than the re050 i had on the dc5. looking forward to trying out the re11 though

No way, check out my video, re01-r in the rain:

YouTube - Los Volcanes en Mojado

Check out how my wheel spins, and how I have to slow down in the corners because the car is not being able to turn!

On the straight away when I passed thru water, the steering wheel moved to the left! scary!

I found that re01r handle very well even in the wet, rvm that looks like a LOT of rain :) hence why it was so slippery. re01-r are probably not better than wet oriented tyres such as goodyear f1's etc but I thought they were pretty good in the wet considering how good they were in the dry

definatly right there nless you get a dedicated wet tyre but then they are not as good in the dry. but all round the re01r is a great tyre, the new re11 is supposed to be an improvment all round

RE01-R is a good tire, but I prefer the hankook rs2 :nerv:

wow really ? I might give them ago then maybe, I heard the rs2 are horrible in the wet hence I was reluctant to get them. good price tho compared to its rivals

Yep, I did faster lap times with the RS2 compared to the RE01-r in the dry :nice:

So RS2 are a good choice either.

Anyone know where to get the RE-11 in the UK. If not, does anyone import them and how much am I looking at for a set?

It just doesnt happen. You can't really have best of both, its either best in dry or wet, and then theres the all-round, which is more suited for the street.

I've heard that the New TOYO R1R is better than the RE-01R, tested on a S2000. Theyre also lighter... These will be on my next change... :D
