brake bias valve..

I totally agree with all of that, the disc snatch thing makes sense however doesn't seem to be a quantifiable factor when sizing a brake system, I guess it's just one of those things that you appreciate will improve with better brakes. One could argue driver skill is perhaps as big a factor as the brakes themselves...

I think what the lads on Civiclife couldn't quite grasp was that the OP asked whether he should upgrade the rears to match a big front upgrade, to which I responded 'yes, unless you fancy longer stopping distances'. Hilarity ensued when they all missed the point by a country mile.

Oh and going from DS2500s to Yellowstuffs... :( it's a downgrade rather than an upgrade :) I really rate the DS pads as a fast road/track pad. I've got them on the MX5 and they're immense... but there's a reason they're 50% more expensive than the EBCs. Saying that, they're nice and cheap in the Wilwoods compared to the OEM calipers! :D

I know, horrible pads. Won't be using them again.

With regards to your question on ITRDC2, I've fired off an email to the supplier to see what he suggests for your setup.

I meant my claim to have developed an algorithm to calculate dynamic bias and stopping distances from given vehicle parameters... ;)

Ah that bit... by 11:30pm I was 1/2 asleep, and 6:30am the following morning I was even less awake :D

Haha, that's cool. I thought it may have been another one of those 'Yeeeeeaaa, OK then...' *Edge away slowly from the weirdo* moments.

I get that a lot.

If you want to forward it over to me, I'll file it in the "Looks really useful on paper but no-one really understands what you're talking about" folder I've got :)

In there, I've got my Piston Area calculation spreadsheet, my pad area over disc sweep spreadsheet and my incoming/outgoing expenditure spreadsheet

I'm looking into the possibility of turning it, along with a few others I have made into an app at the moment so I'm a little reluctant to share it out as it's completely unprotected and did take a fair amount of work to create.

I know this comes across a bit as 'Haha, I have the magic formula and you can't see it :p' but I hope you can understand. If it turns out there is no commercial viability in it then by all means you can have a look, I'll even stick it up on here for members to use.

Infact even if there is commercial viability in it, I guess it will need peer review beforehand in which case you're top of the list for the brake part. :)

EDIT: I do have a semi protected one you can have a look at actually, I'll PM it to you.
