Am i the only one that notices that people are using brought instead of bought all the time?? I feel like an old man for saying this, but who the hell teaches english these days? :angry:

Yes, it does make you wonder. My biggest "grammatically incorrect" pet peeve is double negatives. :angry2:

Bought - brought
Your - you're
Draws - drawers (yes, really)

The three main ones pissing me off just now!
 
Evidently a few folk do :lol: A car forum it may be, but simple things like that irritate some people. I'm one of them!

If you are from Norfolk you expect a low level of reading and spelling skills from people.. i was raised here but don't have the accent.. alot of my friends do and its terrible, very special people over this way lol.

and this guys accent isn't even that strong lol, but trust me this chap ( although it seems joke ) is a perfect parody of 8 out 10 people here.. people have a tendency to repeat what they say here.

Mind you the proper version of that phrase doesn't make much sense in the first place, bolting a set of wheels and a JDM tow hook on your 1.4 is hardly what most people would call 'building a car'...

lol i agree, the amount of stickers i see saying it..

For instance someone like joe thompson who is building his B20 mental thing.. i doubt you will see joe with a " built not bought " sticker on there. and he has practiaclly built ever single piece of the car... :wow:

I have bought so many cars that have been modified when i bought them.. i wish i could have found a sticker saying " Bought not Built "

or maybe a complete piss take
