Boost and resulting torque figures.

The B16B which had the JRSC I just bought was dyno'd with 239hp/152lbft on 7psi.

Using the method mentioned It comes to like 66.6lbft/liter

The setup im hoping for on my B18C for at least 250hp and 165lbft will be at 6psi un chargecooled results 64.5lbft/litre.

I have been debating to how ineffiecient the setup is but hadn't realised it was that bad! I was looking into BMEP's the other day but totaly forgot I could apply it to a boosted setup. Think im going to be going back to the drawing board. I get a bit carried away with efficiency of a setup.

On a side note it works out my std GtiR is only 61lbft/L with 210lbft at 0.7Bar.

Edit2:Corrected lol. I was adding the CC to the MAP instead of multiplying. :angry2:

doesnt seem so bad now that I got the right figures. haha

What about this?
B16a2
Vortech Supercharger
2.5" 4-1/De-cat system

237bhp/155lbft at the wheels. Will be good to get a comparison now that I'm going turbo :)

Need to know what Boost this is running to calculate.

Here's a few examples for you to work with.

b18c4
.9 bar on a little T25
301bhp, 218 ftlb's torque.

b16a
.8 bar on a td05-16g
285bhp, 200 ftlb's torque.

d16v1(ep2 civic)
1bar on a T28
258bhp 240Ftlb's torque(very mild tune)

63lbft/litre - 157psi BMEP

b16a
.8 bar on a td05-16g
285bhp, 200 ftlb's torque.

69lft/litre - 171psi BMEP

d16v1(ep2 civic)
1bar on a T28
258bhp 240Ftlb's torque(very mild tune)

75lbft/litre - 185psi BMEP

That D16 is pretty good for a mild tune!

Looking at those examples, I suppose around the 65lbft/liter range isnt all that bad for a paracidict, air heating supercharger setup. lol

No, I'd say it was about as good as you could expect!
