Black Recaros - Opinions

I posted a message on my local message board about swaping Red Recaros for Black Recaros. Just curious what some of your opinions are? I have a Champ White EK9.

I got a reply back from someone that wants to trade today at 5:00pm, any pictures would be great too. I've been searching but can't find any pictures.

It definitely doesnt look bad having the black Recaro's, and they are a bit rarer (from where I am from anyways), although I think its nicer having the seats colour matched to the interior carpet.
 
Not on a white car IMO. It's one of the few things that makes the EK9 special and stand out.
 
Mine are super clean and in great condition but it takes some work to keep them like this. The guy told me they were in good condition with normal wear on the drivers side....I could deal with that as I have changed bolsters on recaros before, but his idea of normal wear was not the same as mine. Both those seats were trashed, even the felt stuff by the seat belt holes was deteriorating. and all the suade was purple from fading and shiny like leather from wear. I tell him sorry but these are way too worn compaired to mine. He says, I can get them steam cleaned....too late for that buddy. The search continues
 
I personally prefer the black ones, but it is all down to you bud :nice:

Its a personal thing.

I don't get why people dont clean them every couple weeks
On the whole its really hard wearing material as long as its not abused

How about this, i get black one and swap out my red centers. Like how Evo seats are

So insted of the red plaid it would be type r red???? just an idea.

Black are nicer than red in my opinion.

I wouldn't do black/red combo though, looks kinda cheap.

I'd prefer black ones, they dont show the dirt as much and less worn

Can't beat a fresh cleaned red set though.
 
imo. black recaro's with black carpet, red with red. looks weird otherwise.
 
I have a Black recaro in my Glanza V.. It's still a recaro speed. exactly like the ones you posted but i think its an older style.. it has a really big white RECARO badge and has like specs of green and blue on it.. Kinda like the old skool look, I'll get a picture for you..

after owning the red recaros in an Ek9 i persoanlly prefer the black ones.. More subtle

I prefer the black recaros too. Reds seem chavy? Kind of... Blacks have more class and keep the racing/sporty line.
