best ever civic

now iknow this sites all bout ek9 (stunnig bit of kit) but whats peoples opion on the best civic to date and why (pros+cons) everyone has own opion and so far as im stunted and dont have a clue im a eg fan but recently the ek faclift and the jorden have had me turning lol:nice:
 
ek civic ftw mate.Have a jordan myself and its an awsome car even in standard form tho mine hasnt been standard in a long time lol.It has aged so well for the sub 14 odd years its been around,even more so with the facelift.
 
thinkk im going to get a new civic but so many to choose from defo goin jdm with it though got a eg at min think time to part is upon got to find cheap base car as going to gut it and go all upgraded on with engine build atm the journey begins again lol
 
Best civic ever is the FD2, good engine, good suspension, stiff chassis.
 
Having only driven the EK9 and EP3 I'd vouch for the 9 out of the two... however the FD2 is very highly rated!

I own a EK9

My dad owns a FD2

Having driven both i've got to say the FD2 still blows me away in standard form, it really is something special!!!

Comparing all the civics as standard, deffinately the FD2 for me, the look of it, the drive, the performance :nice:

Although a close second is the pre-facelift EK9. Looks more aggressive than a facelift and makes for a perfect track slag. The facelift looks a bit too show for me :p
 
Depends best for what? Everyday driving? Racing use? FD2 is outstanding for daily driving, it is a very refined car that drives great, fast, turns nice and yet is still very comfortable. For racing use it's hard to beat an EK9 with a K20 swap or a B18c with a turbo even! But a highly modified EK9 will start to lose its comfort quickly :(
 
theres not many clean ones abot but i do love the ef9! a standard sir ef9 has been known to be faster than stock ek9:secret:

I think EG6 is the best civic.
Engine power and chassis balance, susp. stroke feeling is good.
And light weight.

I like CR-X(EF8),too. (short wheelbase, Very light weight)
In Japan, VTEC version CR-X exited.
Was CR-X sold in Europe??
And CR-X with swapping B18C is very fast.

Id have to agree there. EG6 is deffinatly the best bang for you buck, but if you have got the cash id say the FD2 followed by the EK9
