Which is the best clutch to go for and flywheel
Should I stick with oem or upgrade ?? :nice:

I would say it is all to to do with what you want. Are your happy with stock power or are you going to upgrade? All depends on the prices aswell.

If my motor was staying stock i would most likely stay stock for the clutch.

ek9
Pretty much standard at the mo

OEM clutch (EK9/DC2) is plenty good, fancy clutches waste of money imo. I recomend the Kaiten Super Karui flywheel.

OEM clutch is fine as said befor!:nice:
As for the flywheel it is a good mod:nice: but down to personal Preference IMO, on which weight you go for!:secret:
OEM flywheel weighs 15lb so anything less is a plus, but if you go to light then they are jerky at setting off & between gears!
I would say 9-10lb is best for a daily car, what make depends on you £££

Hope this helps!

My Local tuners have decided to put in a exedy clutch and fly . Stage one I belive . Hope these are ok ?

or will i hear lots of :secret: :D

There are lot's of people that say that the exedy stage 1 clutch's are crap & wouldnt touch them, but that is what i am running in mine & never had any probs at all!:nice:

Think they mite be a hit & miss with the exedy clutch's but less hope you get a good one! lol

What weight is the flywheel they are putting in????

Great I have just read a few other posts about this to :nono:
Not sure of the weight of the Fly . I may just get them to stick a standard one in . How many miles have you done on yours ?

I have done over 15,000mile on mine & never had any prob & still going strong! Plus im putting 200bhp+ through mine too!:secret:

There must be some that are crap though as there wouldnt be bad things about them all over the forums, but from my personal experance (& i have fitted these for other people too) no prob's to date!:nice:

It's up to you but i wouldnt worry about it!:secret:

Try find out what flywheel they are fitting though!

They where going to put in the exedy flywheel to . I have looked on the exedy site but I cant find out how much it weighs . I will phone my tuners tommorow and have a chat to them . I know with my luck I will get a bad clutch every time . In my old EP3 I had a clutch masters stage 3 clutch and fly and it was really good .

Think the Exedy fly is 4.3kg`s as thats what i have along with a DC2 Blueprint clutch.

Im 99.9% sure exedy do diffrent weight flywheels:secret:
As i have a 7.5lb exedy flywheel but my car ant a daily driver!:drive:

Exedy clutch kit? 600 miles later = squeaky release bearing!

Are any of the Exedy range any good :((
Stage 2 any better :angry2:

Dose anyone know who stocks Clutch masters in the Uk ?

My stage 1 had very bad judder & lasted only 15k before it broke. The stage 1 is stiffer, especially when in traffic jams, trouble is you dont realise how much stiffer until you put a standard clutch back in, when you first put the stg1 in it doesnt really feel much different to oem. Unless its more of a track toy or you have big turbo power an aftermarket clutch or you just like it stiff lol, is just not needed imo.
The flywheel they want to put in is probably the 9.5lb one.
