I'm f'in stoked. It will be officially released at midnight here in the States (you Euro boys gonna have to wait till the 5th). My roommate and I are about go pick up my copy. I've been watching gameplay footage for a long time now. I haven't been this excited about a game in a while. MW2 was such a spectacular letdown but BC2 just looks kickass in every dimension. I'm getting the PC version naturally.

Well, it's 11:23, 37 minutes to go. We are about to head out to GameStop and pick it up. Already paid, just gotta pick it up.

I hate the fact we are always made to wait  I have my copy delivered first thing on the 5th I hope have taken the day of work and everything. ( HAHA sad I know) Fingers crossed my PC runs it ok. PC is the only way to play FPS IMO. Dedicated servers FTW I can't believe the MW2 devlopers "PC gets other advantages like Mouse control and text chat and dosen't need dedicated servers" Any way thats not what this thread is about :p.

Post up your thoughts I cant wait.

Dear lord, this game is harder on my computer than Crysis, in single player that is. I've installed my my old 8800GT as a Physx processor in hopes that it'd help considering my GTX 275 should be enough graphically. My old ass Athlon X2 6000+ is what's hurtin me. I have it set at the lowest settings and still don't see 60FPS unless I look at the sky. I'm hopin havin the 8800GT as a Physx processor will help. Otherwise, this game is whoopin the **** outta MW2 so far. SOOOO much fun.

going to pre order it tonight on steam, does look amazing :D

@ y3Lo: its £10 cheaper from GAME and you will get it delivered on the day so you dont have to wait for download.

@ Techy: Oh god I think I might spend the day cleaning the car instead then :S My graphics a ram is fine but my CPU is a pile of ©*** Intel Pentium D 945 3.4Ghz

early details on system specs suggested that a 3.0Ghz single core would run it though considering the amount of distruction you can cause in this game I did doubt it.

Should be good fun I have a few mates who are also getting it so that will make it much better.
My only gripe with the battlefield series is that sometimes you can really struggle as a foot soldier and have to fight solely in vechiles which is fun, but I like a nice balence of the two.

BC2 is like no other Battlefield. In fact, it shouldn't have the Battlefield name at all. That's not bad cause this game is frickin AWESOME!!! The 8800GT running the PhysX did the trick. The framerates are still kinda low but it doesn't fall flat on it's face now. Blowin up walls and **** is SOOOO much fun.

I'm still in the single player. What I love is, I don't stuck so easily by obstacles cause usually, I can just blow them the fark up. Door locked? No problem. Grenade that bitch. However, cause I decided to go with a normal instead of easy, I'm dying a lot. Weapon damage is much more realistic than in other games I've played. Pretty much, if you are in close quarters with an enemy with a shotgun, kiss your ass goodbye if you don't pop off the first shot or miss. One shot from an enemy shotgun and that's it.

Also, sometimes, if you stand around with your squad in single player, they'll start talkin to each other and it's HILARIOUS! They say some real funny ****. Seriously, at one point one of them says "Quick, what's your favorite scene in Predator" and they commence to argue about how stupid each is for picking the scenes they did.

Well, it's past 4AM and I might wanna go to bed (actually I don't but I need sleep). Luckily my classes don't start till 2:40PM so I may just get up at 10 or so and play some more before class. This is the best game I've bought in a LONG time.

and I'd like to reiterate. SUCK IT MODERN WARFARE 2. Bad Company 2 is WAAAYYYYYYY better. MW2 was such a spectacular piece of **** and I was so disappointed but BC2 is the exact opposite. It cost less ($50 and I got the Limited Edition), it's ridiculously fun, and turned out to be far different from and much better than what I expected (and I already expected it to be real good).

Nice, there's already an update and now the game runs better. Still not spectacular framerates but better than what I was getting.

im still thinking about buying it yet. i still playing 1942 yet i give up on bf2 i still love the action of 42.

How the hell could you like 1942 over BF2? If you prefer the WWII setting, then download the Forgotten Hope 2 mod for BF2. But, don't go into Bad Company 2 expecting BF2 or BF1942, cause they aren't the same. Granted, I haven't played the multiplayer yet (I was gonna a few hours ago but some **** held me up) but still, it's a whole new animal.

So far what's makin me happy, is the weapons are much more satisfying, again this is singleplayer but the videos I watched of the multiplayer seem to show the same thing. They actually have some accuracy and effectiveness. Used to in BF2, you'd have to unload an entire clip into someone to kill em and sniper rifles weren't very effective. It was a rarity to see someone drop in a single shot, or even 2 shots.

I'm just hoping anti-tank weapons are actually effective. They had the damage characteristics spot on in one of the early patches of BF2. A rocket would destroy a hummer in a single shot and a well placed rocket in the rear of a tank, side of an APC or rear of an APC, would be plenty. In later patches, it became almost impossible to destroy a vehicle in a single hit. You have to lay down 4 or 5 from a helicopter to do anything. One or 2 direct hits used to take out a tank in one of the early patches.

Turns out that UK preorders from GAME may arrive early I might have my copy tomorrow of even tonight if I am very lucky have had an email saying its been despatched. Good news on the patch they seem to have done a good job optimising the game and I have a few mate who played the beta on older systems and said it ran fine.

i aways like WWII, i never really liked forgotten hope never like how weapons was in 42. i never tryed bf2 verison yet. i havent been playing battlefield for over 2 years. video games started get borning for me so i lost hope in playing video games.

Yep I received my copy today and have been playing it this afternoon. It's a very fun game the sounds are very battle like unlike other games attempts at boomy sounds and surrounding gunfire this game really cranks it up a level especially when running x-fi cards and surround sound headseats tho I have found that its harder to hear were people come from with all that going on. Unfortunatly connecting to a server today was an absolute nightmare ea have said this is because it isn't offically released yet and it will be better after that. I wait and see looking forward to a good long session tomorrow. I've only played online and I'm totally rubbish at it but really enjoying it so far apperently the story line in single player is very good too.
