Will removing the original rear stuck on badges cause problems? Such as dull paint?

I removed my civic and cx badge off my vsm hatch, i noticed that the paint under the badges looked a bit newer, but you cant notice it much unless you really inspect it. My car has been outside in the sun and experienced canadian winters since it was bought in 97, so the paint may be more dull than yours. I believe that a little detailing would make it look fine. Also its kind of a pain to take the sticky adhesive under the badge

Nah mate it will be fine. What I done was hear the badge with a hairdryer (lol) and then use an old bank card to prize it off the car and get as much of the adhesive off without scratching the car. From then on it's upto you to put in the hard work to get the rest off. Then just give it a quick polish to blend in :nice:

kammy's right use a hairdryer to heat it up. I dont heated mine up and it came off very good too. I removed the adhesive with my thumb easily. then clean up a little bit to remove the sand under it and then attach the new one.
good luck

Did the job today, faint outline left. Quick solution?

detail it out? any sort of light abrasive compound will get rid of it.

so what? the new badge will cover it anyway.
If you polish it the double side adhesive will not work properly.
