back sliding out

woah i know it wont handle the same as an ek9 was just wondering if it would even come close to the same kind of driving experience if i put an ek9 steering wrack in it as well . has anyone done this before ??

Rack not wrack! The steering rack wont improve handling. Its not part off the suspension. It will however give a better feel due to the shorter ratio of the EK9 rack.

to make it handle similar to an ek9 u would @ least need to fit an LSD on the tranny, replace the dampers/springs, fit stut bars front & rear, fit sway bars [rear sway requires sub frame brace] and still missing the B16B to pull u into corners...

after all this ur civic would handle good! :nice:

thanks , think ill just wait till i can afford an ek9 cause all that sounds expensive

Where on the IOW were you going fast enough for that to be a problem out of interest? (Sounds like a challlenge!:win:)

firstly, the dress thing was just a joke... not even at the weekends :secret: secondly ooooh dear... sum1 else from iow lol i KNOW of 160+... rumours of 180 dwn altherfield straight all on bikes but there's prob more than 10 140+ spots an 30 120+ spots tats in cars plus the duel 120+ in the SiR, *** out mili road show them both some bends pm me an we get few pics :nice:

last night i pumped by tyres to 38PSI on all four tyres and i must say what a transformation! it feels like a new car! that made a massive diffrence. But i will still go have the bushing checked and start spending more on handling. If you aint got the power under the bonnet at least you can corner fast enough.

Do you carry a lot of weight most of the time? 38 sounds a bit high for the road. You tried 33 in the front and 32 in the back (Honda's recommendation)?

no i don't really carry people with me. I had 30 on all tyres with toyo proxies 4 195/50/15 but with 38psi the tyres have got so much more grip until they start over heating. i will go get 38psi nitrogen in the tyres. that should sort the pressure rising from the tyres warming up

Do you know how much it costs to fill your tyres with nitrogen and where?

Its only £1 a tyre and kwik fit do it or any other popular tyre specialist company
