Anyone knows the differences between B18C5,6 vs B18C7 (210Ps) rare engine from the australian integra type R 00-01 model? The cam profiles ,compresion, and other details? I 've been searching to see the difference with no luck :/

3 friends here in Greece has 3 swaps with B18C7 and made this hp in dyno's to the engine and did some search and all the forums say 210 hp.

No they are 140/141kw ~ 189/191bhp , it even says it in the AUDM catalogue , ''Gear ratios have been chosen to fully utilise the 178nm torque and 141kw power peaks.''

Honda kept the best for the JDM market , like most Japanese manufacturers :secret:

As i have read in many sites the difference is in the Gas you are using if you fill your tank with 100 octane fuel the Ecu of the B18C7 takes full potential of it and delivers 210 ps for thats why i am asking if the difference between B18C5,6 vs B18C7 is the cam profiles , the compresion ,other exhaust manifold? In honda parts in some sites i saw difference in part number for the ITR cams between B18C6 and B18C7 and i already know this
2001 ITR intake cam Honda part number: 14111-P73-J01

1997 ITR intake cam Honda part number: 14111-P73-J00

CTR intake cam Honda part number: 14111-PCT-000

the exhaust cam Honda part number is identical for all 3 cams (97 ITR, 01 ITR, and CTR): 14121-P73-J00

Spot on :nice:

Just had a look around darragh is 100% correct jonny R!

I don't say that Darragh_K is wrong i believe too that Japanese manufacturers keep the good for their own but i 've been searching this for a long time for the B18C7 and i don't think that some people say something that is not true :/ plus i saw with my own eyes the 3 vehicles that have these swaps show 195 hp with V-Power fuel and 209 hp on V-Power Racing and in these dyno's an integra type R came in too with B18C5 and show 187 in V-Power and 197 in V-Power Racing all 4 cars are stock and no remaps on their ECU's. I've also know that B18B is 1834cc and B18C5,6 is 1797cc and i found in many sites that the B18C7 is 1829cc.But i believe that some people in many sites write everything that they hear from others...i don't know what to believe so i told to you if anyone know some info! ;)

As J90CVC says above I believe they are the exactly the same as the c6.

The difference in part numbers between the intake cams is because the 96-98 spec b18c cams are different (98spec = EK9 pct cam) . Why they list a separate part number between the EK9 and 98 spec can be down to a number of things , like where they are manufactured etc.

Do you have the part number for the b18c7 intake cam???

Anyway just adjusting your intake cam lift or duration will only really aid torque rather than peak hp.

Fuel ron rating has very very little effect on power figures especially when the ecu is not mapped for that fuel.

TBH that dyno sounds way way off and anyway they should only be seen as a tuning tool not a 100% accurate power / torque reader

I just call one mate of this 3 cars and says the difference is in exhaust manifold JDM B18C5,6 4-2-1 and the B18C7 4-1 and the ECU's of the AUDM is different.

? They use the 96 spec 4-2-1 , my mate bought the jdm 4-1 for his when he had it .

Yeah the ecu would have a slightly different map to suit the region , but very very small , plus if he was running the audm ecu with the higher ron petrol it would do nothing , saying that it would be very small power increase with a jdm ecu.

Jimbo i am not arguing with you i just want some opinions in this to see if the other sites are just say lies... or my friends that the 3 swaps are stock...only Honda will tell the truth as you know..

I'm not arguing johnny, it just seems you are already stuck in a mind set about the spec of the C7 and seems you are not intent on any other suggestions without arguing or disagreeing! I'm going to leave it at that, there's no point spamming this thread off topic!

No you get me wrong i said some info and you answered as two other peoples in this thread but i want opinions from other people too someone in here maybe knows lot more than all us :p don't get nervous it is just opinions here we are not the mechanics of Spoon here ! :p Relax mate ;)
