I'm thinking of putting a b18 in my ek9 while i take out the b16b for a full high compression sleeved build and i want to just put the entire itr engine and ecu in no messing around with re mapping etc. will the ecu and engine loom from a late spec ukdm integra work with my 2000 ek9 rx is there any issue with the imobiliser or any other differences?

Yes the UK P73 will have a immobiliser. Just get a Jap P73 and you won't have any issues, they don't contain a immobiliser:nice:

^^ what he said you can just open up the ecu and remove the immobilizer.

The engine check light will be on constantly if you remove the immobiliser circuit board

Is there any way to trick the ecu and get the light off or is there a way to use the immobiliser from the uk ecu i've got access to a whole ukdm itr so any parts needed off the car i could get and its nice to be that little bit more secure

It would be a right pita, you would need to swap over the immobiliser loom that's behind dash and receiver box etc. There used to be a circuit board that could be purchased and soldered in instead of the immobiliser board and that would prevent engine check light staying on. Can't remembered where I ordered it from though was a few years ago.

Thanks for that will look into it just trying to avoid buying another ecu if i've got a uk one. I know what factory ecu's can be like i once spent a whole day pulling toyota mr2 car looms apart when i helped a mate put a later spec uk engine in a rev2 import car not one to do again! if anybody knows of where to get the immob replacement circuit board from please let me know until then time to google:nice:

You will need a conversion harness to connect the Teg ECU no? So from obd2a or b depending on if your cars a facelift or pre (a) for pre and (b) for facelift to obd1 (teg), Im sure thats right, hopefully someone can confirm :nice:. And for the price of JDM ecu's usually go for, I'd get one, they have a more powerful map too, UKDM has almost 15bhp less that JDM remember and no immobiliser messing around either.

the jdm p73 will run the uk b18c6 100%, we have a ek here with a b18c6 running on a jdm p73 not had a problem at all
