b18c ek9 220+bhp

well i contacted tdp and they never emailed me back and i think leigh tried to contact them aswell

i think it is no longer valid as i wasnt the original owner kinda think

well tdp didnt really want anything to do with it but i have print outs off 2 different dynos and its not the power it was ament to be also the fact the engine was "chucked" in bolt way to lose and other bolts to tight

Doesnt suprise me , not a fan of their work .

Hope you have it sorted :nice:

awh right thats pants... are you running stage 2 pro? why didnt you get the shkunk valves also? what management you using now..

yeh the car went well but when i started to look into the mapping the fueling was completely terrible and when i asked tdp for the map they wouldnt give me it via email etc wanted to get it remapped

the aim now is to enjoy the car and sort all the niggly things out

yeh running stage 2 cams now and just decided not to bother as the honda valve are good enough so just uprated the retainers and springs to pro series

running apexi power fc with hand commander still

andrew mercer from momentum motorsport will be mapping it

had it for about 3 weeks and the car completely different so much smother down low and just felt alot better and thats with a "high rev range" cam

niice notice any idling issues with the cams?
whats your milage like with them in now?
you still using 280cc injectors?

no idles fine not lumpy idle or anything like that

milage iam not sure as their was a 4k rev limit but it seems to be taken alot less petrol espically when just cruising along 100 miles to about 20 quid off super unlead at £1.30

I'm not surprised as I have had to rectify mapping problems from the mentioned tuner before. Glad to see your getting somewhere with it now:nice:

yeh i contacted you ( i think ) and was going to come down and get it sorted then started it up and heard death rattle so got it trailed down to momentum at first we though it could polish the crank but after inspecting the engine more the cams were marked along with the head and many other bits and pieces

Costly fix:( and afaik Leigh paid them a lot of money that time to put the engine right, some cowboys.

Leigh had alot of money spent on this. Hope you have all thn problems sorted.

ha this not the car that made '170lbs ft' of torque.

Good luck to new owner.

yeh thats it 689r

when i got the map changed it made 221bhp 150ftlb which is still good going but their was still some in it the cams are good cams but not good for top end power

well it was ament to be 235 but it was only 202 with higher octane so how they got the figure i dont know

that figure was before it went to get rebuilt
now it has forged internals and different cams and also springs retainers

next on the list is mounts and then intake and 80mm throttle body
