Description: B18C 230HP 158 lb/ft, 53k no proof
complete B18C engine with head and ancillaries, runs sweet and does not burn oil. Standard bottom end, with uprated Head, Supertech valve assembly, Race DNA angry cams, adjustable cam gears,Cometic multi layer head gasket lots of hours spent making this a very reliable and powerful unit, i had the engine sourced, and brought it with 28K it now has 53K and runs the same as it did when fitted. I installed a new OEM ignition coil in May2013, at Mot time this year Emissions were fine. Always run with Motul 5W 40 Full Synthetic oil, with regular changes. This is mapped on Apexi Power FC, a deal can be done to include this if wanted.
This engine was built by Pez of Race DNA in 2006 he spent many hours working his magic. This is not your usual B18C, and would be very nice in a EK9. Not desperate to sell so no silly offers, I think it's a realistic price.

158lbs/ft from a stock block b18c with a plenum, seriously?

What works been done to the head to help achieve 158lbs/ft, I'm gob smacked.

Not knocking it, it sounds very well built. Just really interested to know.

Head been reworked? Skimmed much? What's the compression of the engine? What's the spec on the cams? Flat faced/larger valves?

Lots of head work, I won't shout about whats been done as it's a work of art by a very good friend of mine, and as you can appreciate it's his knowledge that has made this engine perform. I was taken back by the torque when i first drove it, it's instant from the off. But yes i can confirm, Stock Block, Angry cams, Pulleys, Supertech valves, a very healthy engine to start with and lots of hours fettling couple that to a very good Header. It is still restricted as i run a EK9 Mugen Twin Loop, with a different rear silencer i reckon another 6,7,8 HP and more torque to go.

Wish i could just buy a 9 and put this in. I think it would be outrageous.

Stick it on a Dyno Dynamics and get a power reading, no doubt a Dyno sheet to prove power would help your sale. IMHO, I can't see it making that torque.

You are right, in your opinion you can't see it making that torque. I have been to 3 dyno's since the build and all have been within, i have seen 153lb/ft 158lb/ft 160lb/ft and 162lb/ft with HP at 228 and 233.
Your opinion is welcome, the guys that are proper interested have received Dyno proof.

230 whp
No port job to the head
Oem intake manifold
Oem throttle body
Oem bottom end
Im sorry but that is impossible
And you do know that dyno can be adjusted right ..if you want to read high numbers...

But anyway thats my opinion...

Just out of interest were any of those Dyno's a Dyno Dynamics? And do you have any WHP figures?

Did i say whp= No
Did i say no Port job to the head= No

Is the Intake Manifold modified= yes

I know Dyno's can be adjusted

Okay lets not look at the high numbers, lets talk low numbers 228hp and so on, if we are not bothered about the high numbers then why bother with the lows, it is what it is, my engine and it produces what it does. Not really bothered at all, this was a for sale thread just because i have not listed every little detail, does not mean it's not there.

I asked for a sweet engine, we did not talk about what it had to produce, if it made good numbers then thats cool. I wanted a reliable engine that gave me a buzz, i will find a Dyno Dynamics and maybe get a run in there, problem is the car has no MOT.
We did approx 18 runs on the dyno, a proven dyno that race cars are tuned/mapped on, it produced the same on there as on a local Dastek.

Thank you for the positive comments everyone. If this don't sell soon then I will stick it in a 9, if I can find a decent one with no rust.

I'm not trying to discredit the power figures but for a standard bottom end, torque and bhp are very high. Your power figures are on par with what I see from fully built high compression b18's running Pro2 cams on my Dyno Dynamics hence the reason I asked if you had ever ran the car on a DD Dyno. If you do get a chance to put it on a DD dyno and it makes similar figures I'll have to talk with Race DNA to see will they sell me some of those camshafts :nice:

Fair point but I've seen Pez's B18 builds make more power and torque that another reputable companies 'fully built' B20 engines and that was on DD rollers.

I suppose thats what i should of said, but i have nothing to prove. Pez did not build many of the super B18's, there were a few of us lucky enough to sample the magic. I know on paper my figures whooped fully built set up's costing much more, and proving un-reliable. I will not talk directly of the 'Other' so called proper builds as it will cause arguments, i respect everyones hard work.

This was a for sale thread, but now being asked to back up my claims. At the end of the day those who know and have witnessed builds of this kind will only appreciate this.
