It depends on what you want to do, the b16b is better for 2 reasons:

-can easily be stroked to 1.8
-has much larger cams and better valvetrain

It just depends on what your really after. Like how much hp?

The 16B will always be better if you are limited to only 1.6L and you're able to perform limited modifications or even unlimited modifications.

It's just a better platform to start since it has a better rod stroke ratio and a main girdle to help it spin to 10,000rpm provided the valvetrain can keep up.

This is not to say the 16A cannot do it, one can also add the main girdle as well and I wouldn't hesitate to do so, as 16As can be had for very cheap and may be the better alternative if you were to build everything from the ground up anyway.

Why not a B18c? Around here it's just a liiiiiittle bit more expensive then a B16b. But you do have a lot more extra power and torque, throughout the whole rev range.

I prefer to limited only 1.600cc and I want to output as max power and torque I can.. Could you tell me some modification to succeed my dream ? b18c is good engine but is 1800cc and the tax in Greece is huge

What you can do then, is buy a B16b and put the crank, pistons and rods from a B18c in the B16b, after which it will effectively be a B18c, exactly the same, but stamped as a B16b ;)

this is smart...!:nice: but I don't have some problem or fit all exactly ?
