b16b vs b16a IM diff

Im wondering what the appearance difference between these two? how could you tell one from another? does the two grove lines on top mean anything?

The most noticable differences is probabloy the coolant hose locations and the intake manifold as you said has lines on the top of the B16a IM (depending if its 2 stock motors).

Might be a silly response but also the size, as the b16b is larger

B16B has shorter and bigger intake runners for top end power.
B16a has longer runners for low end performance, not suitable for maximum power gains.
