Hi everyone. Looking to do a swap just stuck between two I would like but not sure yet n need some help. Im looking for reliability as my daily driver, but like to occasionally go for a cayon run! And maybe in the future install a turbo. So need to be pointed in the right direction. My HP goal is around 250.

250 out of a 1.6 is a lot of hassle...better starting of with an engine with higher potential - B18C. Also, the difference in price here is so small that I'd never choose for a B16B since the B18C has a lot more power and torque.

For a reliable, daily driver of around 250bhp it has to be a K-series. You'll enjoy the torque when using as a daily :nice:

Of course thats a nice idea but you'd have to be able to pay the initial investment. The initial investment with a K20 is much higher. You'll need all the parts at once to be able to build it into your car. With a B18 you can buy the engine first and mod later so you can spread the spendings.

Of course it remains to be seen what would be cheaper in the end to achieve 250bhp; I wouldn't be surprised if the K20 would be cheaper in the end.

B18, simple, effective and the pistons are more boost friendly incase you decide to go down the turbo road.

250bhp NA is not hard to get to with a B18C same with the K20, but as already stated you need a ton of parts up front for the K20 build which is not the case with the B18C.

lilcrazyboyagc, I would recommend the B18C over the B16.
K20 would be fun, but a larger initial investment and longer more complex build.
