So I bought my EJ9 awhile ago and these came on it...

They're not my thing, so they're for sale if I can get them off :p I've inspected them and they are attached using screws (Easy enough) and what appears to be silicone/bathroom sealant... Its white, so thats what I'm presuming it is.

Anyone know a way I can take off the skirts without damaging the paint?

Apply heat to the sealant and see if you can ease the skirts off. Then use nail polish remover to remove the remains of the sealant. Just make sure you wash the area after so no nail polish is left on the paint.

Thank you so much! :) Someone recommended me to use a knife to take it off before, so thats why I asked again.

If it's white p-u adhesive then you may require a knife, hopefully not!

Would a heat gun be too extreme? I don't want to yank on the skirts and the body starts coming with it...

Both PU adhesive and silicon bond extremely well and will be very difficult if not impossible to remove completely without leaving any mark. Most organic based solvents (like acetone etc) should dissolve silicone a little given enough time, however they will also dissolve the car paint so not of much use. Mechanical removal might be your only option, depending on how good a job the person who attached these did when they prepped the surface. You might have to scrape it off very carefully and then sand it down and polish up again, hoping there will be enough paint left.

From what I can see, they bonded the skirts onto the paint and just left it that way.

Those look like C-west frp side skirts, funnily enough when I got my Ek9 they came with a set aswell, screwed in, with some sort of double sided 3m tape.

Took me ages to get the tape off, from memory i used boiling water and intensive tar remover and my finger nails when it had dried out. I left the tar remover on for 1hr or something mad.

They're Buddy Club skirts. Tape I can live with. Sealant, no...
