At the moment im doing a double din centre console conversion and noticed this piece and just want to know what it is for etc....help would be appreciated
It shouldn't cut the car out when you press it, a inertia switch has a ball bearing inside which when you press the reset button it sits in position and won't come back out by pressing button again. You need to exert enough force on it for the ball to fall out of place which breaks the contact i.e in a crash the g force applied from the sudden deceleration causes the ball bearing to fall out of place. If you hit the outside of switch hard enough it will also trigger it.
