my brother jus bought sri and has started cutting out after 30 secz on idle any ideas
 
mass air flow meters are common mate :nice:

Had the coil pack go on my sister old astra mk4 !?
 
well best gettin a diagnostic check done 1st dont wanna get one and its something else but its a common fault on them, and they aint cheap new cant remember the exact amount been years since ive worked on vauxhalls lol
 
does it soulnd loud on idle when it does . i.e tapping noise . these are very common for the timing chains stretching and the tensioner failing which is a high possibility .

what year is the car ??

what mileage is on it ??

does it drive ok ??
 
51 its the belt not the change and it runs sound as a nut idles great just starts cutting out sometimes
 
i understand him fine lol i have a corsa. has it got and immobliser?mine did and did that or the distributor cap.Mine started runing funny,changed cap and away wee go.few years later still going strong
 
its awryte guys changed the air filter gave it good service plugs etc and runs sweet as a nut thanx for your help and sorry for the 1 word text talk secz meaning seconds theres no need to be piky about everything like that theres wurse on the forum owell cheerz anyway
