Not sure where to put this so put it here.
I've just removed my PS(the proper way, removing seals etc)
It's wondering how others are finding low speed turns? I'm at the mercy of my kazz diff ATM and it's pulling me all over lol
Only things I can think of that might help are roll centre adjusters and some slip modifier on the gearbox to try and stop the diff snatching?

I know I'm k20 but exactly the same here. The Kaaz is just violent. Have you had your alignment checked recently as a quick check and adjust made mine loads better.

My ep3 did this with oem dc5 diff. Would constant snatch and try to centre itself. Horrid

I haven't long got the car back together so this could be the issue. I'm running it in on basemap so I can't even apply power to lock the diff, seems to get better with heat though.

Was yours not from lowering the car too much? Thought you fixed it with rack spacers?
Went out in it today and it's much better, think this is due to the wet floor and the tyres have less grip against it to fight me.

Even running standard mtf with a brand new kazz wasnt too bad in mine. A bit snatchy at low speed and on uneven ground, but as soon as any real speed or load was applied it was fine (I run no ps too) The diff was a lot more tame with kazz oil, but it is too thick and makes the diff feel less efficient. I've gone for some syncro 80 now to both protect my syncro's aswell as the longevity of the diff, so hopefully there is a happy medium with feel (job on the list atm)

I don't think a plated diff will ever feel nice at low speed regardless, but the benefits outweigh the negatives.

Yeah I've run that syncro 80 before but was with PS. On mtf3 now and these are my first miles with the new engine and no PS.
Think it's just a case of getting the alignment sorted out again and then just getting used to it. Was much easier today, almost like having PS when I got past 35-40mph

All this non power steering talk makes me want to remove mine even sooner :nerv:

Chop it!
It's abit of a shock at first but I think I'm growing to it the more I drive it about.
Plate LSD if you don't already have one!

I want to try converting the rack myself but don't even know where to start, so when I get the spare rack it might be coming your way Jesse :p

No worries mate.
There is a guide on here but there is also a knack to doing it you know?

Yeah Iv had a look at the guide. Will see how confident I feel once I have it in my hands lol

Give it ago and if you can't manage it send it over.

Updating this for future reference.
Installed a set of roll centre adjusters, check tyre pressure and then set the tracking straight, completely different car now. MUCH easier to steer and I'm not being bullied by my diff anymore.

Bloody hard, especially with 8 inch wide semi's (near slicks) up front.

I've got used to it. I prefer no ps. Every time I drive my bros evo it feels to twitchy due to ps. No ps feels neutral on the move

Yes, no PS, LSD and semislicks or slicks is a real harcore play when turning from a stop...

Imagine all the above, with a short ratio steering rack ^_^

Mines much better now. Soon as I'm above like 10mph I can steer with one hand, pretty easily.
