Im confused! I got a quote about a month ago on a civic jordan for around 1500, tried getting a new quote today but its saying 'Sorry, we cannot insure this car for you, all drivers must be over 21'

Yea sometimes the website does that with me or its something to do with monthly targetd

Thats abit crap then! They won't insure me on the jordan i'm hoping to buy this week, but they'll insure me on a different jordan for £1500 :/

got to join in this rant, they are annoying!

I had tried a few quotes on import dc2's, they were both 96 reg that i tried and putting in the reg of the car as i looked at them on autotrader, but they 2 prices had about 300 quid difference !!??

they insured me on a jordan at 19 for 1500 i think it was when i had 1 yr no claims

admiral/elephant same thing

I was with admiral with my last car. I hae a EM2. I'm 26 with 7 years ncb. I was paying £340 i'sh. Then when i got my Jordan. Admirl would not even insure me on it. I had to cancal that policy and i got insured with Axa for £360 i'sh on the Jordan.

Just try again tomorrow. Phone them up and try and haggle with them on the phone :nice: It worked for me, 19 on an ek9, main policy holder £1500 in july this year. :D

Ye by how would you haggle would you jus say knock the price down or I'm goin else were if you say that they will jus say sorry but we carnt insure you for that price is that correct
How would you haggle?

Mine came up for renewal with Bell and they quoted me £680 (21 years old, 3 years no claims), they were the best by around £400 but I wanted a bit more off so I asked politely, I wasn't pushy at all, I even admitted it was the best quote and still got £50 off of a low quote!

So all you need to say is 'is there any chance you can knock it down abit by any chance' and they might do it so is it best doing it by phone direct then on comparison sites

Just ask them to knock it down and when they ask if you've had a better quote make something up if you haven't, I pretended SKY gave me a very close quote and that I was leaning towards them as they're more 'import friendly'.

You've got nothing to lose by asking :D

Ye will try that I usually get good quotes online but will give that ago mate

try bell aswell, it's the same company. Also i've noticed i get quoted more on comparison sites compared to going direct

Is the ek9 on the website of bell/admiral/elephant or do you have to ring them, i cudnt find it, found the ep3 jdm but not the ek9.

It's a vti import or summat Like that mate

It was on there, but I couldn't find it last time I searched so it may have been removed, when I phoned them to query it they correctly identified it was a 1.6 Type R import I was insured on, so maybe now you'll have to phone up to get an EK9 insured.

Best to give them a call mate , have you tried anywhere else ? I went through SKY and got 1600 on my vti turbo with all mods declaired am 22 with 2 years no claims . Where every where else was want well over 2k

Worth giving them a shot aswell ;)

'LE' postcodes are being hit with the cash for claims scams so this may have something to do with it.
